Why is Pakistan being forced and threatened of sanctions by growing voices from British politicians, far right activists and news outlets on taking a convicted serial r*pist and pedophile, Shabir Ahmed who has recently been released from prison. Ahmed came to the UK in 1970s and has spent most of his life in the UK. His crimes were committed in the UK and should face full force of the law. It is not Pakistans responsibility.

Pakistan should make exactly this point. This person and his crimes are a product of thier society.

If British police had taken his first victims seriously then he would have not been able to get away with his crimes for so long.

Surly if they are going to deport this vile criminal then then British authorities should also deport Altaf Hussain (MQM) who caused mass misery across Karachi. Unless he has already gone?

Pakistan will most likely comply of British demands as they fear the white European.

If he has completed his prison sentence, then he has paid his debt to society. Therefore, there are no more grounds, on the basis of the crimes for which he was sent to prison, to seek his deportation, if he has UK citizenship.

"Alex Norris Home Office minster of state told the Commons the government was "examining every option" and reiterated Ahmed could not be deported unless a 55-year-old law was amended."

for once i agree with Cheng, Its racist to punish him more for his background as he is UK citizen

No harm in doing a deal with the UK in return for Altaf. Then we can get rid of this child rapist in a Police "Incident" at some point...

They're vile aren't they, these "human rights" lovers?

They itch to deport one criminal that their own judiciary failed to give a strong enough sentence to, but also shelter another criminal because they don't trust foreign judiciary.
