World Bank places Pakistan in MENA, ending South Asia classification

Welcome to the club .... keep it in mind , atheists are considered unpatriotic and traitors of ummah in PDF eco chamber.

That's pretty much everywhere, not just on PDF

When the world is full of Zionists, hindutva and barley concealed white supremacists, it's not that liberals and atheists who are going to save us or preserve our faith, identity and culture

If anything they are a tool to spread fitna within the Muslim world

This is why they are considered as traitors

Once again the Pahalavists are the perfect example

this shall open up Central Asia and Eurasia (land route to europe) for Pakistan and China, for our economic prosperity. and also provide those landlocked countries access to warm waters

Bangladesh is firmly in the Indian camp, a member called sainthood I think wrote a comment short time ago about ganga and fluids, I thought and still think it was a bit harsh because it ignored certain realities but he was spot on in his logic.

Bangladesh is subject to its geography, it cannot carve a separate destiny it looks like, which is not their fault
This grouping is nothing more then a administrative exercise. Since we cannot close our eyes, it's worth being aware to ensure our interests are kept alive, whatever they may be.
There has to be a rationale to it, it is after all a value judgement change, specifically made

This might be loosely related or not at all but India's GDP growth has not led to a higher place but lower place, recent news below

At the end of the day for a country like India or any third world country the GDP measurement will always have to be based on assumptions and these can either be generous or ungenerous, it therefore becomes a political compromise on what you accept

We also have the blunt recent statement from American diplomat stating to an audience Indian growth will not be supported with industrial opportunity

And finally Pakistan has recently re-entered sovereign capital markets, 500 million issues, which is a significant development for Pakistan on global markets

More often then you realise, but our lot have been obsessed with religion for far too long, it's time to introduce balance. I was going to write an article or a long writeup on this topic, also addressing each objection or claim by the Indians, point by point, but aggression by Indian Moderator and stupidity especially by Pakistanis put me off. It's strange everyone has freedom on this forum except Pakistanis.
One Pakistani fool commented the Indus civilisation belongs to the Indians and some such comments, it's been a while.

You can be too harsh on yourself, Pakistan from its Inception has been in flight or fight mode, as well as a hostile neighbour much bigger to the east, Pakistan has been thrown into western grand narrative wars, firstly communism vs capitalism, which was Russia versus the USA in many ways, then it was the war on terror, ongoing, and then the cold war between USA and China I am sure will get hotter over time

That is not an easy backdrop, therefore the purpose to highlight this is forming a rounded textured national narrative for basically a newly formed nation state, becomes a luxury, in that context, you have to go with what works best

However iron sharpens iron, and if you don't believe that then certainly the guys to the east in their hearts and in their more candid moments have understood this, they would have thought anytime in the last 50 years would be the last year, alas it was not, and this by the way feeds into the helpless hysteria.

The ivc, is in substantive part within Pakistan, I believe it will come and develop in time into the mass consciousness, as much as these things can

It doesn't matter what people believe, everyone is free to do so. Presenting oneself to be somehow morally higher is just as bad as those we point fingers towards.
If someone brings it to my face, i have the answers any which way they want them. But we should encourage thoughtful discussions, that's the best way forward.

But, they're not entirely wrong, religion is part of every nation on earth, some are loud and stupid about it, others are quiet you could say sly about it.
It was an emotional journey, which is still fresh in my mind to this day but i still consider myself entirely Muslim, but that's an another discussion.

Two thirds of Hindus say you can't be an Indian without being a Hindu, many non Hindus seem to hold the same view, which is very surprising and tells a lot about the mindset in play in that so called false secular country.

I was born in the UK, I am seeing the living consequences of a society that has gradually lost its culture, faith, values, morality and the consequence it is having on the family, marriage, relationships, children and birth rate and ultimately identity

More then ever, I think it's vital we preserve our identity, faith, values and culture

We have the example of the Pahalavists as a atheistic, valueless, honourless people without morals, where they get lost in a bleached blonde white servitude and their women become whores for any men

Cultural identity in of itself is not enough to strengthen communities and this is where is see Islam as the guiding light for Pakistan

I was born and schooled in Pakistan in my early years, although raised in Britian. Right now, Britain is home and it has my loyalty.
I see problems but not to the extant you say, but you have your experiences i have mine so i am in no position to say you are wrong, although i don't know you're right either.

When you pick examples and pick the complete opposite as a solution you're merely picking one extreme as a solution to the extreme you find abhorrent.
What's the difference? Both are extremes.

The idea is to learn lessons, pick solutions and agree on a package, only then can you tackle issues you find important. Whats the point of being unidimensional, you're merely telling your opponents or enemies that here i am, a single page book for you to manipulate as you wish.

That's why Jinnah sahib did not respect that congress lackey Abdul Kalam Azad, it's also why the Muslims of Indian call many of their leaders Sarkari Muslims (official government Muslims).
It's why many Muslim leaders in India refer to Ram as a prophet of God, because they're only capable of simple thoughts, this is the problem, that is the solution, that's enough. Ridiculous.

Surely we're more capable then that. Despite my complaints about my community, I know we're capable. We just need to adopt our thinking.

Except for the last paragraph, i really did not understand what you were trying to say. I understood the facts as presented but i did not see an argument or a point, perhaps i missed something.

Mostly it's agreeable, nothing I can add.
Except regarding Bangladesh, there's nothing wrong with their geography, it has negatives but there also exist positives, they're just being stupid about it. How can a nation of nearly 200 million be subjugated except by choice. It cannot.
i would love to discuss in another thread, this is not the place.

Lol, fair enough I can waffle, straightforwardly put, you may criticize the national narrative over religion, but remember that to form a textured and deeper narrative that includes the IVC, you need the luxury of tranquility, otherwise its a luxurious excess. You have to mobilise yourselves for India, or the soviets, or the war on terror, the IVC will not immediately help move the minds and hearts of people

You misunderstood me, read my other replies.
I am an atheist who loves Zia, I have my complaints, many things I don't like, but he did a tremendous job under difficult circumstance.

It's important to discuss rather then assume. I have zero problem with religion, and i see zero contradiction between celebrating the IVC and Islam, both are equally part of our heritage, amongst other things.

Celebration of one doesn't mean rejection of the other, that's a redundantly hollow mindset, I know it exist amongst many Pakistanis but it's stupid to the extreme.

History is linear, these are three simple but extremely important words which need to be clearly understood.

Forget about the argument of Pakistans geography location here for the moment . High percentage of us Pakistanis have physically, and in terms of looks have more in common with other Muslims particularly those from the Middle East. I’m not saying we are Arabs , Iranians or Afghans lol, majority of us Pakistanis got definitely nothing in common with Indians regardless of their ethnicity religion or location. If Pakistan had rightly used its native language Pashtun or Farsi language as an our national language Pakistani after 1947 would have been a lot more better closer to Muslim countries to the west.

Where do you think Urdu came from?
It didn't fall out of the sky, it's been part of your heritage for centuries. Please read.

My friend, their is NO solution

European societies are ageing rapidly
Average age in Italy and Germany is heading towards 50 years
Other European countries are not far behind
What are the youth learning?
What are the aspirations of young women and men here?

What the solution?
How are they going to change the situation, or will they now continue to slide

Their has to be some sort of ideology, a value system that is the basis of your principles

Without it you will just have a bunch of people continually crying about the collapse of society, with no idea on how to change things

High,Low, Right or Sideways - if you're a true descendant of Kashmiri Hindus you'll understand that there is nothing "highest"/"ordinary"/"put any label" - the articulation above points to your egotistical mindset - nothing else

More so, many members want to "trace" their lineage to a "group" which they seem to "love" - folks who take pride in something that is not earned but given - tragic state
My point was that communities like Kashmiri Pandits developed a very distinct regional identity, with their own traditions, history, and social structure.

Like some groups, they maintained strong internal cohesion over time, which is why they can feel culturally different from other Hindu communities. That’s about historical and social identity.

And yes, people do take pride in heritage. it’s not about ego, it’s about understanding where you come from.. Kashmiri Pandits, as a Brahmin community, have historically been custodians of Vedic knowledge and played a role in preserving and interpreting the Vedas so why not?
