Yemen Civil War News and Discussion.. an evolving situation

If America can not take afghanistan and root out taliban how can anyone expect saudis to root out houthis?

Fighting on contested territory that swings back and forwards is one thing but taking territory of your enemy which is heavily fortified with tunnels, trenches, high points, traps, sniping corridors, local support is completely different.

There is 0 chance saudi and its loosely aligned government force can take the capital. I wouldn't be surprised given a few months, the southern yemenis will go back to fighting each other again like they usually do.

lol why are you upset Pakistanis are in KSA not in yemen.
Pakistanis should be at home protecting the civilians from India, Afghanistan and huge alphabet soup of terrorists and criminal mafias. But there are no $$$ in that. $$$ are in fighting other's people's wars.

BTW why is Taiz city is such a problem to full capture by either side

Houthis about to lose Taiz? According to reports?

Houthis wont sit for long on that island if they don't have access to coast, as coast is main supply line.

remember when irani troll were making fun of pact and yet Pakistani were doing same shit and when soem irani posted meme against Pakistan most Pakistanis were liking it making fun of their own country.
Pakistan is protecting its interest and it has every roght to do.

Your interest is not in fighting other's people's wars. But let's discuss that elsewhere.

use the same logic and apply on iran which fought in iraq in syria in lebnon in yemen. yet its actively involve in yemen

Your sea interests were never threatened and it's strange that this is the "duty" that the Pakistani state focuses on, while neglecting everything else.

Follow Bash on X he reports mostly on the coaltion side but to a certain extent houthi as well he is neutral

Are Iranians encircled by India and Afghanistan and suffering daily attacks by Indian and Afghan backed terrorist groups ? What kind of whataboutism is that ?

Its obvious to see this is not the houthis of the 2015, this houthi can touch saudi arabia and hurt them and their pockets with missiles and drones.

Saudi should be careful because it wasn't even the houthis that bombed that east west pipeline it was the iraqi PMF. Saudis keep playing with fire and Iraqi PMF might blow up a few more refineries and oil fields.

Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) have an estimated active size of roughly 204,000 to 240,000 registered personnel. [1, 2]

Key Size and Growth Details
    • Current Strength: Official Iraqi reports and tracking groups like The Washington Institute estimate active manpower between 204,000 and 238,000 fighters. [1, 2]
    • Historical Growth: The group started much smaller with about 60,000 fighters when it was first formed in 2014 to fight the Islamic State. [1, 2]
    • Fractions: The PMF functions as an umbrella organization that unites roughly 67 different armed factions. Most groups are Shia Muslim, though smaller units represent Sunni, Christian, and Yazidi minorities. [1, 2, 3]
    • Funding: According to reports highlighted by the Atlantic Council, the force operates with an annual government budget of approximately $3.5 billion. [1]
