Yemen Civil War News and Discussion.. an evolving situation

they don't need to march to Aden, just the Mandeb Strait is sufficient and would be good to consolidate control at that point, which seems very close

Saudi Arabia spends 7.3% of its GDP on defence, and it seems like it is not well spent . Absolute joke.
I think all their expensive equipment is operated by western mercenaries, who dont feel the need to risk their lives to defend the homeland, all they are interested in is to make sure the guns dont turn towards israel and their bank accounts are filled with saudi riyals, everyone is milking them and gtfo at the slight inconvenience.

Saudis are finding out just because you have a bigger stick, but it matters a hell lot more who is swinging it (Saudis 🤡 ) And everyone ever working with Saudi troops can tell you how bad and arrogant they are.

From looking at the map, the Houthis are pretty much the “gatekeeper” for one of the world’s busiest trade route.

Great news. Its about time Saudis stay in their own backyard and mind their own business. Time to sit back and watch them get pounded.

Pakistan - please disconnect the hot line immediately (if they can't reach you, they can't activate the stupid 'pact')

reports indicate that Ansarallah's Chief of General Staff, Major General Yusuf al-Madani, is overseeing Ansarallah's advances in the west coast of Yemen from Hodeidah

al-Madani was a very close associate and friend of Qasem Soleimani

Irgc and Hezb has a very major role in AnsarAllah movement over the years.

Imagine invoking such a serious clause in a defensive pact against a group of militia that has been under a blockade for the past 10 years, house of sauds think its a childs play. Its laughable, sauds killing this defensive pact in its infancy, they are making a mockery of defensive pacts.

Ansarallah have advanced 60km south of Mocha and are now within 15km of the Bab al-Mandeb

Ansarallah now controls 80% of Taiz governorate

I would add Mayyun and the Bab al-Mandeb to the top of this list

other sources are more conservative, and claim the status of Dhubab and Mayun Island are still contested. Ansarallah are present, but they have not yet cleared out the enemy, with Saudis launching repeated airstrikes on Dhubab

Houthis are making Donald trump really sweat it out now along with those crude oil prices. Donald duck prob realise his little pets in the gcc cant fight for sh1t and have no heart. I hope those south Korean soldiers and navy get bombed to sh1t if they show up in Yemen or Iran too.

Houthis may look into using some cluster munitions against targets that are flammable e.g. energy installations as iran has shown its pretty effective
