Another fact worth remembering - ca. 40% of Saudi population (13 out of 31 mln) are foreigners, mostly western skilled professionals + unskilled/low skilled laborers from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philipines etc.

Western professionals are a minuscule amount. There are millions of foreign Arab expats from across the entire Arab world that have lived there for decades if not generations, but still count as foreigners despite being residents there their entire lives since Saudi Arabia rarely hands out citizenship to anyone no matter how long you've been living there. But the majority are south east Asians as you mentioned, as well as Indonesians, Malaysians and Philippinos.

Yemen's population has been sky rocketing and I wouldn't be surprised if they are already higher in population than the entire Saudi population with foreigners included.

They can lift their decades long blockade of Yemen and in return the Houthis will allow them to send their ships through the Bab el Mandeb, for a small reparations fee.

The Saudi air force seems effective with what it is being tasked with, the problems are more on intelligence gathering and their land forces. This is an area that needs to be worked on significantly first in terms of the pact and for the defence of Saudi itself.

The Saudis have been fighting in Yemen for 10 years. Surely they would have files of intel by now? There are things Saudi Military should have predicted and prepared for when they stupidly started this latest clash . It seems that Riyadh underestimates the Houthis , REPEATEDLY!!
Saudi do have impressive Airforce but air power alone cannot win war. Boots on the ground are needed. Not payed mercenaries they won’t fight The Saudi better show more “grit” in their ground game than we’ve seen in the past that’s what it’s going to take for them to get rid of the Houthis or push them back . They’ve not shown anyone they have that grit .. .

We'll see how many they actually hand out and to whom, I frankly have my doubts. Many of the highly skilled foreigners tend to be Arab expats that have lived there forever, there are millions of them that make up the professional working class since Saudis aren't exactly the most motivated to work in demanding fields or pursue higher education for highly skilled professional and technical careers.

Don't think that only the Iranians are helping the Houthis. There are other actors behind the scene playing their part. The fact that the Houthis have suddenly begun capturing one region after another in quick succession isn't mere luck. This is 100% by design and with the help of external actors.

The Saudis, Pakistanis and Turks will be put through their paces now.
