How cute. Iran has spent the past several months attacking almost every country it could reach while Israel continues operating with near impunity. Yet you had to paste a screenshot of an unverified propaganda story just to prove that Saudi Arabia is supposedly working for Israel.

A headline is not evidence, especially when no source, author, date or supporting details are even visible ( Mod Quality). But I understand, when reality becomes difficult, paste a screenshot, shout MBS and Israel, call everyone sectarian and declare victory.

With 0.01% of that, they can buy whole yemen houthi.

the most simple way of achieve security is economic developmentvof neighbors with shared border.

if you are rich and live in a manor surrounded by beggars and homeless, you will achieve security more easily and cheap giving them jobs and homes, than buying expensive weapons in far away countries with twisted interests.

Most Americans today couldn't go more than a couple of hours without their smartphones.

Still, as posted, my parents are Depression Era so that means they also experienced WWII. That would be the last time Americans, outside of the 9-11 tragedy, experienced losses on a considerable scale. Oh, and let's also not forget our own Civil War.

So America is definitely tested. It just needs a reminder every now and then that getting too soft is not a good thing.

Yeah pretty much the same here for Australia, we got very comfortable sitting far away from the world and only endured big losses overseas in world wars but never at home.

Even though i can put up with a lot of BS in my life my survival skills is non existent like most people these days.

This point doesn't really add up with the way Saudis do things though. They'd pay 10x that amount if that option was there to close the deal. Throwing money at problems it literally all they know how to do. So I doubt it was ever available to them or we wouldn't be here rn.

The strongest force in Yemen is the giants Brigade and they have joined the battle 2 days ago which stablized the frontlines and now you will see the penetration just wait for it. Houthis resolve will wane very soon and after that the rest will be history

Forget the UAE they are not even involved.. Saudis only with airstrikes.

But watch the Giants brigade and the maribeans due the deed. They are armed to the teeth and motivated. Once the Houthis lines gets penetrated they will go for the neck.

Good analysis

It is a failure on part of Saudi leadership. Those allies of theirs in Yemen don't appear well equipped, trained for any scenarios and neither appear motivated.

Believe they will try helping those forces regain control of lost territory and bring back about the status-quo. Anything more than that carries risks.

I am not sure Ansarallah seek to go after Aden. Anyhow, lots of fake news is being posted around the developments so it's difficult to assess what is actually going on.

If Aden appears vulnerable and if it looks like it would give the Houthis the status of being called the government of a united Yemen, it’s a big prize for them not to go for, especially when the defenses of Aden look so weak.

A dug in Aden (Ukrainian style) with only local defenders but over the horizon leadership, logistics support and ammo (ostensively from Saudia) could at least hold the line until things change in the coming months or years.

There will be no going back to a status quo; the Houthis relinquishing the Red Sea coast, without some kind of struggle.

It’s the failure of Saudi leadership over their Yemeni allies that put the Saudis in the this position. This is akin to the US leadership failure over the Afghan army that made them an easy pushover to the Taliban.

The Saudi's need to change course on their policy towards Yemen. That is all that is required. We all know Saudi policy has been wrong to date and it has now run its course fully. Time for Saudi to accept this, and make peace and lift the blockade on Yemen etc.

Yes and no. The Saudis definitely need to accept the uniqueness of Yemeni society, but they have failed to properly support the Yemenis who don’t want to live under the Houthis.

This is similar to Afghanistan but it is also similar to the Dhofar rebellion in Oman in the 60s and 70s. Failure of governance creates a vacuum that other actors can fill.

It is just now, the Saudi will have to change course under fire, or accept Yemen as Houthi ruled. Even that will mean concession after concession.

This is not to even mention, if (when) Iran gets nukes and places some of them in Yemen. Saudi’s own Cuban missile crisis.

Population wise the Saudis also feared Yemen with an equal population as them, and Saudi being overrun.
