Yemen Civil War News and Discussion.. an evolving situation

Iran-obsessed sectarian trolls will bark endlessly about how Iran is secretly working with the UAE and Israel because they are projecting and know it is their idol MBS and Saudi Arabia which is working with Israel against Ansarallah
How cute. Iran has spent the past several months attacking almost every country it could reach while Israel continues operating with near impunity. Yet you had to paste a screenshot of an unverified propaganda story just to prove that Saudi Arabia is supposedly working for Israel.

A headline is not evidence, especially when no source, author, date or supporting details are even visible ( Mod Quality). But I understand, when reality becomes difficult, paste a screenshot, shout MBS and Israel, call everyone sectarian and declare victory.

Brilliant logic.

it's main Israeli newspaper. You talk like if it were Iran source 😆.

anyway, even if it were false, you can be sure than a good part of money spent (wasted) in USA will return to Israel killing machine.

KSA announced recently 5bn new investments in USA.

With 0.01% of that, they can buy whole yemen houthi.

but they prefer to waste money in a superpower 10k miles away, now enjoy results.

the most simple way of achieve security is economic developmentvof neighbors with shared border.

if you are rich and live in a manor surrounded by beggars and homeless, you will achieve security more easily and cheap giving them jobs and homes, than buying expensive weapons in far away countries with twisted interests.

Most Americans today couldn't go more than a couple of hours without their smartphones.

Still, as posted, my parents are Depression Era so that means they also experienced WWII. That would be the last time Americans, outside of the 9-11 tragedy, experienced losses on a considerable scale. Oh, and let's also not forget our own Civil War.

So America is definitely tested. It just needs a reminder every now and then that getting too soft is not a good thing.
Yeah pretty much the same here for Australia, we got very comfortable sitting far away from the world and only endured big losses overseas in world wars but never at home.

Even though i can put up with a lot of BS in my life my survival skills is non existent like most people these days.

This point doesn't really add up with the way Saudis do things though. They'd pay 10x that amount if that option was there to close the deal. Throwing money at problems it literally all they know how to do. So I doubt it was ever available to them or we wouldn't be here rn.

The Houthis are fighting their last ever war... rein-forcements have reached all frontlines and now starts the push back and liberations of Yemen entirely.

Last time they were saved by Biden but now there is no Biden. Sanaa and other cities held by them will get rumbled and their ability to even fire missiles will vanish.

Saudi Arabia now doesn´t give a fuk about rockets firings here and there.

The Houthis will wane out due to fatigue like last time but nobody will stop it this time.

They will collapse on the front very soon Mark my words and you heard it here first

sorry, that is not going to happen, as history has taught in Afgh, and Iraq

I mean, unrealistic, wishful thinking

Iraq did fall by the way..

But this is not Afghanistan..

Listen this is only the beginning and there is massive pressure on the houthis on all frontlines and they are taking some serious air-assualt and won´t be able to hold it for much longer mark my words.

The houthis could be finished in this year or the next maximum

sure, they have taken many such air assaults!

question is has KSA faced, such strikes before?!

and no, resistance in IR or Afgh, never died, let alone these areas, it did not die in a particular strip near zios state!

which world do you live in?!

sectarian world, perhaps!

The strongest force in Yemen is the giants Brigade and they have joined the battle 2 days ago which stablized the frontlines and now you will see the penetration just wait for it. Houthis resolve will wane very soon and after that the rest will be history

I appreciate your enthusiasm

previously, KSa and UAE, have tried to deploy mercenaries from all over the world.

this is'nt the first time they are going to deploy, bravest of the brave!

goodluck, I'd say!

brave and expert warriors end wars, in other words, brave and the best finish the opponent.
which they were not able to do, when they were strong.

I dont see happening what you have described!
( i could be wrong, though!)

time will tell, but, interestingly..

to advance against Houthis, is not an easy feat, it seems!

goodluck!

Forget the UAE they are not even involved.. Saudis only with airstrikes.

But watch the Giants brigade and the maribeans due the deed. They are armed to the teeth and motivated. Once the Houthis lines gets penetrated they will go for the neck.

Good analysis

It is a failure on part of Saudi leadership. Those allies of theirs in Yemen don't appear well equipped, trained for any scenarios and neither appear motivated.

Believe they will try helping those forces regain control of lost territory and bring back about the status-quo. Anything more than that carries risks.

I am not sure Ansarallah seek to go after Aden. Anyhow, lots of fake news is being posted around the developments so it's difficult to assess what is actually going on.
If Aden appears vulnerable and if it looks like it would give the Houthis the status of being called the government of a united Yemen, it’s a big prize for them not to go for, especially when the defenses of Aden look so weak.

A dug in Aden (Ukrainian style) with only local defenders but over the horizon leadership, logistics support and ammo (ostensively from Saudia) could at least hold the line until things change in the coming months or years.

There will be no going back to a status quo; the Houthis relinquishing the Red Sea coast, without some kind of struggle.

It’s the failure of Saudi leadership over their Yemeni allies that put the Saudis in the this position. This is akin to the US leadership failure over the Afghan army that made them an easy pushover to the Taliban.

The Saudi's need to change course on their policy towards Yemen. That is all that is required. We all know Saudi policy has been wrong to date and it has now run its course fully. Time for Saudi to accept this, and make peace and lift the blockade on Yemen etc.
Yes and no. The Saudis definitely need to accept the uniqueness of Yemeni society, but they have failed to properly support the Yemenis who don’t want to live under the Houthis.

This is similar to Afghanistan but it is also similar to the Dhofar rebellion in Oman in the 60s and 70s. Failure of governance creates a vacuum that other actors can fill.

It is just now, the Saudi will have to change course under fire, or accept Yemen as Houthi ruled. Even that will mean concession after concession.

This is not to even mention, if (when) Iran gets nukes and places some of them in Yemen. Saudi’s own Cuban missile crisis.

Population wise the Saudis also feared Yemen with an equal population as them, and Saudi being overrun.

What is this guy on about.

The battle will reach hodeidah very soon and not the other way around. The Houthi blitz came as a good propaganda tool because they were taking huge losses in Jawf in the north east and they needed something moral wise to stop their ranks from falling apart.

But the blitz they made on Mocka also became their own trap because now the entire south has mobilized and believe me when I say they are better armed, more motivated etc etc.

The battle will reach hodeidah very soon from that area and from the north they will crave their way to Sanaa. The houthis failed against the Giants Brigade previously who had the upper hand and they pressured UAE to get ceasefire but UAE is out of the war now and they can´t pressure Saudis to get CEASEFIRE which means the houthis will have to fight to the last man. This is very early days this will not be anything like Afghanistan and this war has reached it´s course
