I am seeing a big campaign on X with pro-Saudi accounts pushing the old "Makkah and Medina have been attacked by shia-kafirs" line. He is being misled by such accounts.

Such campaigns are also part of Saudi efforts to pull in the US and other Muslim states to fight their wars for them.

No one is attacking Mecca or Medina or any other Islamic holy sites. A false flag incident by Mossad/CIA however is quite possible.
