If serious amount of money and manpower is thrown then Houthis will have to abandon some of their gains in Bab Al Mandeb. I don't think it matters too much.

Its not really the entirety of the coast they want but the ability to disrupt shipping if a certain order comes.

Saudi need to stop imposing govt, let Yemeni people have free elections. Once they have elected govt, better talk to them there concern. Also being honest and return 3 Yamani province back to Yemen. But these three province are big source of revenue for Saudi govt, massive oil reserve in these 3 provinces.
Saudi wants starved and weak Yemen, so they don t ask for return those provinces.

Coincidentally, they also claim that yheir family is ahl al bayt, so is their Khomeini and Khamenei allies. They have ruled 70% of the population for a decade, how many elections have they conducted?

Why Else do you think they usurped or tried to usurp the state in 2014/15 when they initially claimed that they would not take over


As for the provinces, if the immamate of yemen has to be restored, then houthis need to return the sunni majority occupied coast, taiz, ibb, and Al bayda to Yemen/south Yemen. You can't push irredentism while expecting other to not. South Yemen didn't unite with the north only to become vassal of clergy from the north that hates them.

The solution to Yemen is houthi elections but it's the houthis that will never allow them. They need to abandon the military solution they have tried for more then a decade and let the will of the people reign. Hold a UN backed elections. Sit with the govt to pave way for it.

Yes it's Yemenis who are dying because houthis chose to start a civil war instead of letting the people decide what they want when the govt fell in 2014. Instead, they started a civil war by attempting to take over. Conscripted sunni children into the army and threw them inro war to protect their sectarian state. Good enough to die, not good enough to rule apparently. That's reserved for their fanatic family.

This could all end tomorrow if houthis do what they claimed to do in 2014. Leave when then govt fell. It's been 12 years. They haven't.
