Following the Israeli air force's interception of a drone launched from Yemen that was headed toward Israel on Monday, Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened the Houthis with a "decisive blow."

The drone was intercepted before crossing into Israeli territory, the IDF noted, and no sirens were sounded.

This follows recent attacks launched by the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen, including firing a ballistic missile that wounded sixteen in Jaffa on Saturday.

In response, Katz said, "We will strike the Houthis hard, destroy their strategic infrastructure, and decapitate their leadership - just as we did to Haniyeh, Sinwar, and Nasrallah in Tehran, Gaza, and Lebanon - we will do the same in Hodeidah and Sana'a."

This is the first time an Israeli official has spoken about Israel's participation in assassinating Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who was killed in Tehran in July.

Sht happens, homeboy. You should see Desert Storm, Desert Storm II and Afghan war all friendly fire that took place. Just look at the Russians in Ukraine. Iran shot down their own airliner during their missile attack at US base in Iraq. Just wait and see when chinese got to war over Taiwan under heavy EW and EMC they are going to have a sht load of oopsies.

If you have been following the war, whether from Iran towards Israel or Yemen towards U.S. forces, the problem has not been lifting up 100 Kg explosives into air, it is directing it to a specific spot that is lot harder. Almost anyone can throw a lot of dirt into air, making it stick to a certain spot needs the artistry. The circular probability error of anything that Houthis can send to a 2000 KM target is probably 200 KM. Half the time, they may even miss the country and hit the neighbors.
