I have gone through Israeli media reports since March 18th (when Israel resumed its genocide in Gaza) to calculate the number of missiles fired by Ansar Allah in Yemen and the number of interceptions / intercept attempts by Israel.

March 2025: 17 missiles fired, 9 intercepted (including 1 partial interception where warhead shrapnel continued to fall inside Israel) and 8 fell short and not intercepted.
  • I could only find reports for 10 missiles being fired (with 9 intercepts and 1 falling short), but the IDF later claimed 17 missiles had been fired in total (with the additional 7 missiles all falling short and not being intercepted), so I will use their numbers.
April 2025: 7 missiles fired, 5 intercepted (including 1 partial interception where warhead shrapnel continued to fall inside Israel) and 2 fell short and were not intercepted.

May 2025: 18 missiles fired, 15 intercepted, 1 successfully impacted Ben Gurion Airport (despite "several" interception attempts by Arrow-3 and THAAD) and 2 fell short and were not intercepted.
  • On at least one other occasion (May 9th), THAAD attempted interception but failed (Arrow-3 intercepted the missile instead).
Total from 18 March - 27 May 2025: 42 missiles fired by Yemen at Israel:
  • 29 intercepted (including 'partial' interceptions)
  • 1 successful impact (with "several" failed interception attempts)
  • 12 missiles fell short and were not intercepted (Israeli claim)
There is a trend of a higher percentage of missiles fired reaching Israel and requiring interception: 53% in March, 71% in April, and 83% in May. This suggests that Ansar Allah is refining and improving launch methods and reliability of the missiles used.

Of the missiles that reached Israel, Israel claims to have intercepted 29/30 (97% interception rate), with only one successful impact near Ben Gurion airport.

Israeli reports frequently refer to "several" or "multiple" interception attempts, suggesting use of 2+ interceptors per missile (e.g., THAAD and Arrow-3), but precise number of interceptors used per missile is not known.

Assuming 2 interceptors used per Yemeni missile (likely to be more), Israel has used at least 60 Arrow-3 / THAAD interceptors since March 18th. Open source estimates suggest Israel had up to 192 THAAD interceptors (2 batteries with each having 96 interceptors) and 250-300 Arrow interceptors (across Arrow-2 and Arrow-3).

I welcome corrections for any factual errors or omissions.

From October 2023 - 9 January 2025: Israel claims Yemen fired 40 ballistic missiles at Israel (2 of these were fired from 1-9 January 2025).
  • "Vast majority" of the 40 missiles were intercepted (assume c. 30 reached Israel, which is 75% - consistent with April-May 2025 rates and "vast majority" claim).
  • Of the c. 30/40 missiles that reached Israel, 29 were intercepted (including 2 partial intercepts).
  • 1 successfully impacted (despite failed interception attempts).
  • 2 partial intercepts (both causing material damage to Israel).
  • "Some" of these missiles fell short and did not require interception (assume c. 10 fell short).
Ansar Allah also fired 320 drones at Israel during this period, with Israel admitting 2 "effective" impacts in Israel (causing damage and casualties).

From 10 January 2025 - 17 March 2025: 4 missiles fired and 4 intercepted (including 1 'partial' interception where the missile body landed on a house, causing significant damage).
  • All 4 missiles were fired from 13-18 January 2025, as the Gaza-Israel ceasefire took effect from 19 January until 17 March 2025.
2025 total: 48 missiles fired, 35 intercepted (73%, including 3 partial interceptions where missile caused casualties / damage), 1 successful impact and 12 missiles fell short.

2023-2025 total: 86 missiles fired, 62 intercepted (72%, including 5 partial interceptions), 2 successful impacts and 22 missiles fell short.

they are seemingly unable to hit any military facilities in Yemen so instead target civilian assets like power plants and airports!

From Sanaa Airport, President Al-Mashat vows unwavering support for Gaza and warns the Israeli occupation: “Expect a scorching summer—our response won’t be delayed.”

I don’t like to say things like this, but I’ve had enough.
While Israel and the U.S. are systematically targeting and killing civilians, Iran and Yemen are just firing missiles into empty fields.
This isn’t a humanitarian stance—it’s sheer cowardice.
People in the Middle East, even Palestinians, are mocking Iran and Yemen for this spectacle.
No one respects those who lack the will to fight. If they continue like this, they’d be better off surrendering.
Especially Iran’s leadership needs to realize how their actions are tarnishing their honor, inviting isolation, and ultimately endangering their own citizens.
Pretending to fight is the worst—far worse than surrendering.

Ansar Allah has fired at least 48 ballistic missiles into Israel this year alone despite being one of the poorest countries in the region, subject to 9 years of Saudi war crimes, brutal US bombing campaign, total naval blockade, and being 2100km+ away from Israel.

Once your country can do that then you have the right to criticise them.
