There was some talk of West sponsoring a new ground offensive against Houthis by anti-Houthi groups in southern Yemen. But I also read that in the previous Yemeni civil war in 2010s, the south Yemenis were bolstered with forces from Sudan's Rapid Support Forces. That is how far back the RSF-UAE connection goes. Because of the war in Sudan, the RSF forces were withdrawn from Yemen , leaving the south Yemenis weaker. So talk of this Western plan was a bluff.
