Z-10 ME/P deliveries Updates: Pakistan Army Aviation.

For now but their bigger heavier weight class one has great chance specially as Turkish helicopter engine is almost ready.
ATAk 2 .. possible but that will entirely nee platform... PAF already moved ahead with chines Z10s ..
So next platform induction depends of the performance of Z10MEs in comings year...

PAA want have heavy platform for Chinese like Z21 or from Turkish.. or even any other..

Remember preference of Atak 129 over Z10s was due its engine.. for working in hot and high altitude effectively.. which Z10 might lack to some extend

Weight category is completely different. For Light Weight Attack Helicopter we have Z-10 ME. But if decide we need a heavy weight categroy one also than we would go for Turkish one. I mean the under development Turkish heavy categroy helicopter.

A more likely procurement could be a Z-10 with the in development WZ-16 engine (2000 hp), if engine performance pans out. Chinese industry has been working with Safran on the WZ-16, since 2019 at least, so let’s see what develops.

A dozen of these more powerful Z-10 variants maybe procured to carry the MMW radars and heavier long range loitering munitions for operations in the plains alongside the current generation Z-10 (could see a fleet up to 2 dozen). The PA could consider refurbishing its AH-1 fleet domestically for COIN ops, and may then go for a dozen or more Atak 2 for high altitude ops. There really does seem to be three almost separate areas of operation. We also have those handful of Russian attack helicopters. We could see a total fleet of 80-90 or so attack helicopters across these five categories, in an economical and balanced way.

different circumstances, he would probably approve it today. They were angry with Pakistan over Afghanistan going downhill back then, and mad at Turkey over Syria and the PKK. Both situations have changed dramatically. But its likely too late for the T129. Though possibly in the future other opportunities can be available for cooperation. like Upgrades and coproduction either on the Z-10 or a heavier helicopter.

The heavier Turkish helicopter is a possibility for Pakistan
