Very basic rule of thumb but generally

Ike (Rep) = Good for Pak
Kennnedy (Dem) = Bad for Pak
Nixon (Rep) = Good for Pak
Carter (Dem) = Bad for Pak
Regan (Rep) = Good for Pak
Clinton (Dem) = Bad for Pak
George W (Rep) = Good for Pak
Obama/Biden (Dem) = Bad for Pak
Trump (Rep) = Good for Pak

See how this almost always works out? Some nomalities granted (Trump 1.0 was not great for Pak)

Basically, but the good kit if deal is good, ensure 4 years worth of spares and wait till Reps get back in or hold on for 4 or 8 years of Dem pain.....

They were all just as bad for us. Just that geo politics made us worthy and useful from time to time. Zia made the most of them followed by Ayub.

You don't kill cockroaches with missiles. These are top line heli's, their job is one. Establish deterrence in lower atmosphere, take out Indian armored columns as well as Indian air support in the shape of Apaches.

Because of Z-10's availability, now Cobras have freed up and allocated to the KPK and Baluchistan area, combined with Finnish heli's and MI's, they form a formidable destructive power against the terrorists. This mess will be cleaned up in a few weeks.

These Cockroaches are mounting the biggest existential threat to Pakistan, more than India... so Yes I will even use the F*ing Ghuari if it means taking out the Terrorists and their leadership, we have soldiers dying in ambushes while waiting for back up to arrive, Attack heli's can be dispatched quickly, because Drones are apparently not in use, we are using quadcopters with mortar shell for fuq sake... use all the assets and end the Terrorism and their supporters once and for all, because sooner or later will be in the crosshair of powers like Israel/America.

Emotionality doesn't win the situation. From your post its clear you don't have details on operational complexity. What makes you think Cobras are not attach heli's? or MI-35, the beast of attack gun ships, isn't an attack heli? Care to explain?

There is no "existential threat" to Pakistan. We have a problem. It's 5th largest populated nation with too many ethnic issues. Our Army can handle it. Don't worry.

They said they are great when air superiority is established or for anti insurgency, otherwise you have a missile slamming into your cockpit fast. They are very vulnerable.

I don't want to derail the thread, but what you said I've heard a billion times already, not knowing anything about operations etc... So its a bunch of gobbleddegook, I still hope that we use the new fancy choppers to good use, specially in KPK and Balochistan, base mai sardane se tu behter hai.
