It’s a very niche requirement for clearing and landing special services troops on mountain tops. They are not meant for anti armor roles. There was some news that additional numbers have been ordered.

There were additional units ordered but the order was cancelled and they were not delivered.

Combination of a token defense purchase from Russia to show improving ties + not really needing that platform. They’re serving fine in COIN roles but PA didn’t really get any precision weaponry for them.

no, I believe we placed a subsequent order for another 4 and placed another order very recently.

We only have budget of 4 ... Plan was later to induct more if funds allows.. or need arises..

In some ways, going slow on purchase of attack helicopters isn't a bad thing. Lots of lessons need to be taken from the Ukraine war.
