Z-10 ME/P deliveries Updates: Pakistan Army Aviation.

In fact, you don't need to install a mmw radar on every wz10.They can share the target data through a data link,So in a helicopter formation, it's sufficient to have only one or two unit that is equipped with mmw radar.
even better if you can use drones flying farther and higher up to provide that data

4. Everything else aside, how is anything to do with China even remotely in line with Islamic values and traditions…how is their stance on Muslims any better than the west?

I know its wishful thinking but Chinese weapons to Pakistan dont come with strings attached , they are as good as being indigenous

but historically our excuse always is , if we dont listen to the West we won't get the weapons we need and this puts us at a disadvantage against India

Pakistan has never been able to adopt a Pakistan first policy because of our poor indigenization and over reliant of the West for equipment and aid

now Chinese equipment is available, that means less reliant in the West for blackmails

and that we can now afford to adopt a more centralised policy in line with our needs and requirements of our people

Looking forward to seeing these at a formal induction ceremony fully dolled out with all of the optional 'extras' all installed for a show and tell ( ie MMW radar ).

Z10 has been in pakistan multiple times for testing and returned back for some modifications and request of changes. Now china only provides Z10ME version. This video does not hold enough evidence that these are inducted ones. and Pakistan does not use full black camo. its Dark grey or Dark green. MMWR is modular.
Dark camo suggests an emphasis on night ops. Makes sense given the advanced AD in our region.

IIRC it was Pakistan who walked away from AH-1Z deal. Since Pakistan wanted US to pay for them using CSF. If I'm not wrong Vipers are still on table given Pakistan pay full qouted amount.

Nope. Yankees assured assistance through FMS but Trump asked for hard cash so we were left high and dry. Viper is still the preferred choice among PAA ranks.

Images from Pakistan have for the first time confirmed the delivery of Chinese Z-10ME attack helicopters to serve in the Pakistan Army, following years of speculation and unconfirmed reports that the aircraft were set to be procured to replace the South Asian state’s ageing U.S. supplied AH-1F Cobras. The release of the images closely coincides with the first deliveries of American AH-64 Apache attack helicopters to the Indian Army, which represents India’s only major procurement of manned combat aircraft from the United States.

The Pakistan Army has previously planned to replace its ageing AH-1Fs with American AH-1Z Vipers, a much improved variant of the same Cold War era design. Although the Untied States approved a sale in 2015, Washington later backed out of the deal, with the decision thought to have been influenced by the perceived need to strengthen defence ties with India. An attempt to procure Turkish T129 attack helicopters in 2018 also ended in failure, with the limitations of Turkish industry meaning that the aircraft have relied extremely heavily on parts and technologies from across the Western world, such as their LHTEC T800 engines, which allowed Ankara’s NATO allies to block the sale.

Entering service from 2009, the Z-10 is the first internationally competitive class of attack helicopter to have been developed in China. The aircraft’s capabilities have been incrementally enhanced over the past 16 years, with new variants boasting improved millimetre-wave fire control radars and superior endurances allowing them to carry more missiles over longer distances. The latest variant, the Z-10M, replaces the old WZ-9 turboshaft engine with the more powerful WZ-16 which improves its flight performance and its endurance. The variant can carry up to 16 HJ-10 anti-tank missiles, bridging the gap in firepower with modern American and Russian designs. The aircraft’s exhaust and side structures appear to be conformal and rounded to provide limited stealth capabilities. The Z-10ME procured by Pakistan is an export variant of the Z-10M, with the sale having the potential to pave the way to later Pakistani acquisitions of China’s new much heavier class of attack helicopter which was first unveiled in March 2024.

So, yes It's Pakistan who needs to pay the full amount. No more subsidies from US Government. If we pay that we can have our Vipers.

Even if we pay the full amount and get them... There's no saying U.S won't make it especially difficult for us to get any subsystems, upgrades, spare parts for these along the line... That's the main problem with the U.S... I heard they made a big fuss about those Gun Tracking Helmet sales for Cobras...

Yeah, this is the same old roundabout regarding changes of US administration, granted geopoltics and big power rivalry always play a part, but basically you can hang your hate on a Democratic administration crewing us over after a Republican one sells us weapons

Very basic rule of thumb but generally

Ike (Rep) = Good for Pak
Kennnedy (Dem) = Bad for Pak
Nixon (Rep) = Good for Pak
Carter (Dem) = Bad for Pak
Regan (Rep) = Good for Pak
Clinton (Dem) = Bad for Pak
George W (Rep) = Good for Pak
Obama/Biden (Dem) = Bad for Pak
Trump (Rep) = Good for Pak

See how this almost always works out? Some nomalities granted (Trump 1.0 was not great for Pak)

Basically, but the good kit if deal is good, ensure 4 years worth of spares and wait till Reps get back in or hold on for 4 or 8 years of Dem pain.....

True. They're not sanctioned like the peacegate viper. We can have those delivered if we pay in cash upfront. No more FMS.
