LOLOne day - i will go to one of these airshows - would love to visit China and have this on the itenary. On the bucket list for sure as you cant see some of this stuff outside of China, ever !
China will try its best to participate in various international air shows. However, the main task of the current Chinese military industrial enterprises is still to satisfy the PLA, and these enterprises do not have very high aspirations for the export market at the moment. The interest of private military industrial enterprises is high, but their capacity is very limited.I do wonder, now that PAF has purchased the J10CE, that if we would ever see J10CE at RIAT 2025, or Farnborough/Paris Airshow 2025 ? - does feel like it is time for its coming out ceremony at a western airshow.
LOL
Your expression is over exaggerated. Coming to China is very simple.
If you are in the UK then it is very simple. Commercial flights go from the UK to Hong Kong. Zhuhai is right next to Hong Kong. You can get a direct ferry from Hong Kong to Zhuhai, or you can go from Hong Kong into Shenzhen and then overland to Zhuhai.
Chinese people are very hospitable and friendly to people from other countries. If you are a Pakistani, then you will be treated with special favor by the Chinese on some private occasions.
I just got a note via a friend - the Japanese photographer Katsu Tokunaga - that this year NO foreign journalists are allowed in Zhuhai in 2024.

Professional visitors need to obtain a foreign passport to apply for a visit permit first. I don't know if foreign journalists belong to professional visitors
To be sure, this is an absolute fake news.that this year NO foreign journalists are allowed in Zhuhai in 2024.
To be sure, this is an absolute fake news.
Zhuhai Airshow is an international exhibition and it is impossible to prohibit foreign journalists from entering the site. The reasons why you or Japanese journalists got this news may be as follows:
1. Some “mysterious forces” are at work. We all know the international situation that China is facing, and some countries are spending a lot of money to interfere with international public opinion. Whenever China is about to happen or is in the process of happening some events of international significance, they will create some negative fake news to attract people's attention in order to reduce China's international influence. The ------ Wuhan submarine sinking incident is a typical example. PDF is also one of the places where they work.
2. Individual incidents are exaggerated into group incidents. Some foreigners are not clear about Chinese laws and rules. When they encounter some individual troublesome things, they will be prejudiced to think that it is an act against their group. For example, individual passport problems, visa problems, personal belongings problems, etc.
3. Spy problem. Due to the huge difference between Chinese and Western cultures, as well as the fact that China is on the rise, China is a key area of work for the world's major intelligence agencies. Japanese are the largest group of foreigners working on intelligence in China. If this Japanese journalist is on the list of China's Ministry of State Security (MSS), it's only natural that his activities in China would be restricted. Of course, he himself will certainly not admit it, and he will invent a reason to explain his inability to participate in the Zhuhai naval battle.
The China Airshow (Zhuhai) is now an internationally recognized military exposition and an important window for China's military trade exports. China will never ban foreign journalists from visiting.
It will not have any formal answers or official explanations. It will only be up to us to determine whether the news is true or false. We will know the truth after the official start of the Zhuhai Airshow. In fact I don’t know what‘s the true reason, anyway this is his post:
„Teddy LEE, the press officer confirmed: no foreigners this year due to the advisory by Beijing. [Statement von Katsu]“
It will not have any formal answers or official explanations. It will only be up to us to determine whether the news is true or false. We will know the truth after the official start of the Zhuhai Airshow.
But we can have a basic judgment now. This is obviously not in line with basic logic.
The country has invested huge efforts in organizing a grand international military trade Airshow, but foreign journalists are not allowed to enter the site to visit and report on it. Is this possible?
For some special reasons, it is normal to prohibit individual specific persons from entering the airshow, but not all foreign journalists.
As it seems, not all were excluded, but only those not regularly operating in or from China
