During this year's Airshow China which will be held in Zhuhai, South China's Guangdong Province, the FH-95 electronic warfare unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) will demonstrate cluster flight and long-range precision attacks, collaborated with a remote base in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, 2,600 kilometers from Zhuhai, showcasing its exceptional collaborative combat capabilities.

Personnel at the command hall of the outdoor exhibition area for this year's Airshow China will coordinate with the base in Inner Mongolia to command the FH-95 system cluster via real-time connectivity, the Global Times learned from the drone maker, Aerospace Times Feihong Technology Co (ATFTC), affiliated with the state-owned China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp. This setup will enable a demonstration of unmanned cluster operations in a long-range area denial (AD) combat scenario.

The FH-95 electronic warfare drone will also perform remote cluster collaborative reconnaissance, sensing, and strike missions, thereby fully showcasing a systematic and clustered unmanned combat scenario.

According to a training video obtained by the Global Times, once the command was given, multiple FH-95 UAVs precisely aligned in formation and executed tactical maneuvers flawlessly.

The video presented the FH-95's capabilities across all stages of combat: from planning and deployment, coordinated penetration, reconnaissance and targeting, to strikes on key targets and damage assessment.

Remote video link will enable the audience in Airshow China 2024 to witness live command and control of FH-95 electronic warfare UAVs conducting cluster flight from 2,600 kilometers away.

In the command hall, the audience will also have the opportunity to observe the entire process — from command and control to mission execution and effectiveness assessment.

The Global Times learned from the company that the on-site observation of the long-range drone target practice is in response to the significant role of unmanned systems in future intelligent warfare and is designed to meet the pressing domestic and international demand for intelligent, clustered, cost-effective, and efficient combat capabilities. This experience will allow audiences from China and abroad to fully appreciate the advanced collaborative combat capabilities of China's FH-95 UAVs.

The FH-95 series drone completed its first test flight in 2017, was delivered to a key client in 2019, and received its first export contract in 2021, according to Unmanned Vehicles, a Beijing-based magazine.

In July 2022, the FH-95 successfully completed a performance test at an undisclosed test base, which was described as a milestone test, as reported by the Unmanned Vehicles.

Rostech showed off their updated Al 41F in the Zhuhai air show But I don't think it will change the course of using the WS 10 engine series in the Chinese fighter jet. The ship has sailed for a Russian engine!
WS 10 series engine now powers all Chinese jet fighters showing increased confidence in its reliability and power output .

The new engine promises longer MTBO, slightly more power, and updated electronics compatible with the digital flight control trend

Russia's AL-31FN engine is set to make a significant appearance at the Airshow China 2024 in Zhuhai. This advanced engine, designed for tactical fighter aircraft, promises improved performance and efficiency. However, its potential impact on the Chinese aviation industry is a subject of much speculation. China's domestic engine program, specifically the WS-10 series, has made substantial strides in recent years.

These engines are increasingly powering Chinese fighter jets, reducing reliance on foreign technology. The question remains: will China opt for the proven AL-31FN or continue to invest in its domestic WS-10 program?

The strategic implications of this decision are far-reaching. A shift towards the AL-31FN could signal a renewed reliance on Russian technology, while a continued commitment to the WS-10 would solidify China's position as a global aerospace power

@NGAD IS THE BEST

Su-57 looks good but needs a better paint job. J-20, F-35, F-22 have warm weather paint jobs that gives a nice warm feeling. Su-57 paint job looks cold and wintery. Not good.

This is an old rumor in Mar. 2024.

Is it possible the GSh-301 can be installed in side weapon bay, as an alternative option? Kind of like gun pods, but can be hided in side weapon bay.

The only thing missing from this event is h-20. We got many surprises this year I'm happy with the progress china made so far. Continue striving forward!
