Yet, the military establishment failed to file a case for that against him in prison? Have they run out of ideas?

Do they need more ideas right now to keep him where he is? Not necessary, for now.

Just because he won’t "own" his daughter public doesn’t make him another lying politician.

Yes, it does indeed make him just another lying politician seeking power. 100%.

Pakistani Awam 70+ Saal Se Aur Kia Kha Rahi Hai? 🙄

If they were truly bothered by it, they would do something. They must like it, obviously. Nothing can be done about what they prefer, unless they change it themselves. Others cannot do it for them.

Buhuu. A lying politician is seeking power. We need saints in politics. Buhuu. Cry me the crocodile tears…

LOL. IK's supporters are the ones crying tears, crocodilian or not does not matter. I only see a lying politician bearing the consequences of his own mistakes, that is all.

@Meengla sb

To me, Pakistan of 2023-25 looks like IND of 1991-93, apparently stagnating but in reality reforms were creating the base for a take-off (something not in the scale, scope or pace of China for reasons that cannot be covered in this thread). What helped India was stability in the next 25 years (barring the 1996-98 interlude) as @Respect4Respect points out. If the Fauj is sensible enough to let the civvies breathe and have at least 5 years innings, no reason why Pak can't achieve a 5-6% growth at least for the next 25 years.

Regards

Pakistan is in similar situation to many developing nations, I spoke to many Indians and they too claimed India was like that and even today faces similar problems, the difference is their people are more aware, and they are possibly 20 years ahead in terms of democracy, independent institutions and the rest. One area India worked on was protecting investors, they made laws to protect their investments whilst in Pakistan only recently something is being done, not sure how effective it will be.

Maybe be they should "up the level" and start enjoying live bullets instead of danday? 🙄

That is for them to decide. What is shown time and again in human history is that the true will of the people simply cannot be suppressed, bullets or no bullets.

So that means all the rest of lying politicians who are currently in power never made any mistakes? Why aren’t they also in prison like Imran Khan? 🙄

@Meengla sb

There is a theory that IK wanted the COAS Mir Bajwa to help him rig and win a mid-term polls in 2021-22 timeframe in return for giving him a third term as COAS. While Jarnail sab was game for a third time, he balked at the idea of rigging another polls for Kaptaan sb. This is what caused a fallout between the two and then the whole regime change drama etc. But again, this is only a theory, no one can prove or disprove it.

@Path-Finder

they are servants of the state.

No, sir, they are its owners. Pakistan, like Prussia before it, is an Army with a state, not the other way round.

Regards

@SoulSpokesman
That's false information otherwise after removal General Bajwa would have gotten extention. It was all to do with internal and foreign relations, plus Imran Khan lost majority in the parliament, 30 of his own MNAs, a few close associates, allies were going to leave. The opposition also rings the generals and pressurises them. Both sides want to be the pets of the deep state.

You’re absolutely right because all history is written by the victors. Failed revolutionaries weren’t alive to tell the tale. 🙄

Absolutely not! Where have I ever supported the corrupt establishment?! NEVER.

And that remains your fundamental and emotional flaw. Anyone who does not admire IK as you do is NOT your enemy or necessarily support the corrupt establishment.

Can you please understand that basic concept before we engage any further? Thanks.

Some members are either young or new. @VCheng used to criticise involvement of army in politics on the old forum but majority of us considered army generals as Sadiq and Amin, we wanted them to remove Nawaz and Zardari, to get involved in politics, support IK rise to power, and get rid of the corrupt. It was the original plan aswell until some major disagreements took place and everything was then reversed. From old Pakistan to new and then back to old lol.

It was the original plan…
I call a BIG bullshit on that one because PMLN’s own sources revealed how military establishment was in direct talks with Shehbaz Sharif and even hand-picked members of his cabinet prior to 2018 elections. The original plan was thus always to install Shehbaz as PM by hook or crook, and the long chain of events which followed to date is an undeniable proof of that.

Seems about right, as an estimate, to me.

A person should study their own family, local communities in order to understand the mindset of the people. The english/Americans are world leaders because their people are also absolutely intelligent, looking at our communities and I see atleast 3 to 4 generation gap, for example where we are right now, the west was at the same situation 100+ years ago, they developed, concentrated on education, build nations and power whilst we were still under occupation.

Just recently some desi arrived, educated but still the weird mindset. Its just a fact, people have no idea about building families, education, how to be fair, justice, listening skills, cleanliness. Its not just desi, some Europeans are worse, they throw dirty nappies on the ally ways, no care on keeping a nation clean. My point is these type of people don't build powerful nations.

. The resettlement of TTP is also . The militants cross international border, carry out hit and run attacks and then go back in hiding, this is happening from the past 20 years and nothing to do with PTI or Imran Khan.
I leave you with this, friend.
