Pakistan Constitutional Amendments:

Indian army was taking the lead from their side, even at the lunch of tandoor, IAF only targeted two places while the rest were hit by IA. Their saving grace, Bahramos was lunched by IA. IA was very much at centre stage when it comes to Indian strategy, while here PA high ups were deliberately dithering on their own responses, manoeuvring their way into Washington good books, and in all this, PAF was doing what it had to do.
okay yaar mann liya happy .

The COAS has been involved in politics in one way or another, Bajwa was no less involved in politics than Asim Munir, so this is not a new revelation. Having said that, this is a Defence Forum, where we are supposed to be discussing operational aspects of changes in the Armed Forces structure, but some people just cannot see past their cult leader.

So it's a political party?....

In the grand scheme of things, this restructuring makes absolutely no difference on the ground, except for tinkering with internal appointments and promotions within the armed forces; again, in the long run, they are playing a political game.

Let's not forget removing accountability.

However, please let us know what they want to be, and then we can discuss this further in the future. In the meantime, let's refrain from using the term "armed forces," which is often associated with other professional standing armies, and avoid turning it into an insult.

Missing golf courses, restaurants, hotels, and wedding halls. They could be running an agricultural school to teach about the next generation agri-revolution, or a school of economics.

If I think about it, probably the well in my ancestral farm land, too.

Yes it does actually - like winning wars.
Since you have just waken up from your hiberation, there some news for you -- the whole damn country has been under the weight of Army's balls since 1947. But the only difference is that at least they WIN a War. And winning a war is the REAL DEAL unlike winning a cricket match and banging western chics, and then all of sudden discover "pain for Pakistan people" while married to a JEW.
Be realistic - we were and are under the Rule of the Military and it will NOT change. Imran is not getting out nor he is becoming a PM ever again.

We need to work with what we have and remain united. We cannot destroy our country for just one fuking man.

Which wars did it win? (Besides, the two skirmishes do not qualify as a full-scale conflict.)

Yepp. Military Inc is Pakistan’s oldest and most resourceful political party backed by guns. 🙄

Well a PTI senator has voted in favour.

I mean, read this, those who say PTI voted like coercion under the barrel of a gun while holding someone's family hostage?

From the article ARMalik posted:

The lawmaker said he “voted only for Syed Gen Asim Munir”.

He added that the Pakistani armed forces made the nation proud by winning the war with India. “During the 26th Amendment, 10 family members of mine were abducted, but my party (PTI) did not come to the rescue.”

Pakistan’s army, with its high IQ generals, was busy launching artillery rockets at Muslim-dominated areas like Poonch, Rajouri, etc., in the process killing nearly 20 Muslims in Kashmir.

You claim to be the liberators and well-wishers of Muslims in Kashmir, yet during skirmishes, you target them.

It’s not hard to pull the census of Kashmir and look where Hindus predominantly live (Jammu, Kathua, Akhnoor) vs where Muslims predominantly live (Poonch, Rajouri).

Such irrational decisions are the cause of Kashmir slowly fading away from our viewpoint.

Not to mention the diabolical press conferences by ISPR, where they played a montage of news channel clips as evidence.

1947 was won by locals who had defected from the Dogra military. Pakistan’s army acted as a holding corps; they never really set foot in the conflict until the Indian army nearly took half of the territory the locals had gained.

1965 was a stalemate with some limited giving and taking of territory from both sides.

1972: We lost, simple as that.

Siachen: We lost, India took all of the Siachen glacier, including nearly 90% of the dominating peaks in the Saltoro ridgeline.

Kargil: We gained some peaks but at the cost of leaving soldiers behind to be buried by Indians and disowning them?

As education improves and people do their own research apart from not getting propaganda fed by Pakistan studies, aka Millat ke Sipahi, everyone will know which wars the esteemed generals have won for us.

Without a focus, without continuity of policies, the two points you mentioned can't be achieved. Pakistan was ahead or at least at par with its South Asian neighbors through the 80s but after Zia's death in 1988, a vicious musical chair for Power started. Even Bangladesh went ahead of Pakistan when they found long term stability under Hasina. Which tells me that countries like BD and India are not some particularly gifted with natural or human resources: They just did better than Pakistan to manage the power play. This Const. Amendment is a desperate attempt by the Pakistani 'elites' to get out of the current 'do or die situation' which is make very dangerous by another war against India which will be catastrophic and to lessen the impact of the power play.
Pakistan has been suffering the same fate since its inception. The majority of the Pakistanis who now reside in Europe and abroad had left exactly during the so-called richest phase of Pakistan’s economy.

The reason we somewhat have an improved economy in certain districts is exactly due to these people migrating abroad, earning money, and pumping it into the country.

Whichever districts have a good GDP and HDI in Pakistan will have a good chunk of its citizens abroad.

Politicians have done nothing for Pakistan except build DHA and Bahria Town to house their rich family members.
