The TS-1400 engine is being used in the Gökbey, and if production of the T629 light attack helicopter goes ahead, it will also be used there, as both are in the same weight class. The TS-1400 won’t be used in the T-129s.

Global demand for attack helicopters has dropped sharply due to the rise of drones, so large exports of the T-129 aren’t expected. With the T-129’s licensing agreement nearing expiration, there’s no reason to take on extra costs to integrate the TS-1400 into it.
