Israeli strike kills IRGC official and 2 Hezbollah members in Syria — Iranian media​


A member of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards navy serving as a military adviser in Syria was killed in a suspected Israeli strike on Friday, Iran’s official news agency IRNA reported.

Other Iranian media reports said Reza Zarei was killed along with two members of Lebanon’s Iran-backed Hezbollah.

The IRGC have scaled back deployment of their senior officers in Syria due to a spate of deadly Israeli strikes and were relying more on allied Syrian militia to preserve their sway there, Reuters reported in February.

How Ironic that an Iraqi militia is better geared and equipped than a typical Iranian soldier stationed on the borders.

If your senior in IRGC, you aren’t going to Syria. When government refuses to protect you and your Opsec has been compromised then it’s only a matter of time. Israel strikes with impunity against IRGC senior officer Corps.

I’m sure some border guard in IDF will get caught in the “retribution” crossfire for this.

They do thru HZ. But again Israel goes after high level targets, wether that has an “impact” in long run is up for debate. Eventually it will. It’s not like you have endless line of brilliant military minds to take the prior ones place.

Where would the world be if Alexander was assainated? Ceaser? Marcus Aurelius? Putin when he was KGB? Cyrus the Great? Solemani?

Eventually you will lose someone who could have made your military THAT greater down the line.

Hezbollah also have the Ababil non kamikaze version, they would be to just drop 50kg guided bombs and targeted killing with Ghaem hellfire at IDF, if they can get through that easily within the borders, a non kamikaze bombing run would be nice to see

In a post on his X account on Sunday, Reza Amiri Moqaddam warmly congratulated Sharif on his election as the 24th prime minister of Pakistan after the recent “successful elections” in the neighboring state.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran expresses readiness for the expansion of relations in all fields and bilateral cooperation with Pakistan,” the ambassador said.

It’s concerning that Mossad is STILL able to infiltrate the DM to the level of individuals who have access to these “workshops”.

I assume this workshop was either related to crucial missile components or nuclear centrifuge related components, unless specified otherwise already.
