Chinese Economy: General News, Updates and Discussions

That much is obvious. Japanese spend a lot of money in India in infra projects and provide soft loans as a form of soft power. Japan wants India to be more active against China.

A united front will still be very dettarance against China. The question will still revolve to how much is China willing to lose while taking Taiwan. And now much will the Americans and Japanese be willing to get involved in the conflict. For now it's just war games for each side.

The Americans and Japanese cannot do much. Taiwan belongs to China. It is a renegade province of China. Only a matter of time before China claims its province. The handful of F-16s in Taiwan are useless.

Just like Russia entered Ukraine and did the necessary, China will most certainly enter Taiwan.

Taiwan is a product of an unfinished civil war. It is still sovereign till the day China fully retakes it.

The matter fully depends on how much the Taiwanese are willing to fight for their nation and how much the Chinese are willing to lose in the offensive. The probability of the Americans and Japanese getting directly involved in the war is slim but not 0%. What they will do initially is supply Taiwan with arms. Even as of now Taiwan is armed with thousands of missiles made especially to thwart beach head attacks. An actual battle will be a bloodshed there.

Ukraine war is a slogfest. Hundreds of men die each day for a couple of sq km of land. Russian offensive is almost grinded to a halt.

Also do you know that a weakened Russia is preferable to China? Russian tsars took a lot of lands from ancient China.

The Ukrainians are as much Russian as the Taiwanese are Chinese. They have similar history, languages, food and culture. Simply because they are the same. You and I fully know that these are flashpoints used by Western countries to exploit at opportune moments.

China versus Taiwan is not a contest. Even with the US providing support to Taiwan. Everyone fully grasps that China will just walk into Taiwan and transform into Chinese territory. This was even the case before China became a world power like it is today.

It depends on the Japanese mindset. Faced with the two great powers of the East and the West, his thoughts were pure. Whoever wins the final war, Japan will not hesitate to take off its clothes and embrace the victor.

This is a weak argument to be honest. Will you like Indians calling Pakistanis as Indians as they once shared the same borders and culture? Nationalism and identities changed after WW2.

This is a generalization imo. USSR was a forceful monolith. Even still the Central Asian states rely more on Russian identity than their own. These post USSR nations do share some culture and food but post WW2 they are different nationalities.

If that was the case China would've invaded a long time ago. We might even argue on this matter a decade or century from now. We don't know how things will unfold, the matter is inherently more complicated for them too. It all depends, one thing for sure is that hundreds of thousands or millions will die.

Pakistan and India cannot be compared. Only parts of Pakistan were integrated with Hindustan. Other parts were connected with other regional countries. Pakistan is not a homogeneous country. Ukraine and Russia are homogeneous. Taiwan and China are homogeneous.

Any country when separated and balkanised would evolve into something different and eventually form their own identity. That doesn't mean that these separate blocs didn't belong to each other. They obviously once did.

China will invade Taiwan. You will likely see this during your lifetime. Taiwan doesn't have the capacity to kill hundreds of thousands or millions. Not population wise nor militarily. China will walk into Taiwan and take it over. It will be that simple.

A lot of the 'leadership' in the US vassal states have been groomed for 'leadership' by US agencies for years.

They are then put in the 'democratic' arena where large amounts of money and resources are assigned to them.

Japan is just a meaningless agitator though. What is Japan going to do against China? Even the QUAD has failed spectacularly. No one talks about the QUAD anymore. The Japanese used to be a cheerleader of QUAD. Japan is desperate and looking for ways to agitate China.

It's forces are significant. Also, it's main role is to provide bases to the US, which are important.

China holds a substantial advantage in sheer numbers and total expenditure. Even quality wise China has supercedes Japan. Japan relies heavily on the US alliance.

Let's see what Japan does when China enters Taiwan. Japan is a super-aged society. The expectation for the Japanese population is a significant and accelerating decline. It won't have any force in the future.

Do you think China will enter Taiwan?

I see no imperative, time is on China's side.
