Chinese Economy: General News, Updates and Discussions

What she wants is for the US to allow Japan to re-militarize. Isn't Germany taking advantage of the Ukraine war to re-militar legally? Japan is just copying the answer.
Germany is a different case. The germans were taken away large parts of territory as compensation. They going thru brainwashing education. Denying holocaust is a serious criminal offense. They still paying compensation to Israel, to Europe. You compare to Japan.

As for military buildup, almost all countries in Europe support German re-militarization. France, UK, the US included.
The only exception is Russia.

I'm just stating a fact.

Germany is preparing to increase its military spending to 150 billion euros. As a reference, China's military is also only 200 billion US dollars.

Germany's military spending exceeds 2% of GDP, which means that Germany has already got rid of the restrictions on the strength of the group of defeated countries in World War II by the Yalta system.

Is it strange that if Japan wants to copy Germany's answer?

You obviously missed the news.
There is a man called Putin. As response Trump requires each Nato member 5% military spending calculated on Gdp. With Gdp $5 trillion Germany must spend $250 billion a year. As compromise the Nato requires minimum 2% on military, 3% on military infrastructure. So Germany spending is inline with the NATO.

Japan can increase. China can increase whatever you want. I don’t see anyone protesting accept Japan.

That is why I say the Germans have found a suitable pretext for re-arming.

Japan also wants to copy Germany's answer. However, Japan wants Taiwan to become the Ukraine of East Asia, and we plan to use Japan as the Ukraine of East Asia. We also don't mind the war of attrition between the United States and us in East Asia.

Honestly, we can accept a world war now to consume our excessive productivity. It will stimulate our economic development.

There is a flaw in your argument. Ukraine has 110 brigades, Germany 8, Japan 8. What can 8 brigades start a war? They have money, but will be difficult too impossible have 100 brigades they don’t have enough young men. And even if they can pull it off, how many brigades has China?

China is the only country in Far East that can start a war, and can afford it. In that context you are right. Maybe a good thing for Ccp to spend off overcapacity.

Japan wants China to start the war so then it has all the excuse to beef up its military while US is doing all the fighting.

China can produce anything and any kind of military equipment domestically, and the world's largest full-spectrum resource country is its neighbor. So China' military orders will not consume China's foreign exchange but will instead stimulate China's economic development. China is indeed the only country in the world that can accept a world war., the Chinese love peace, and China does not transfer its productive forces to the military field.

China also wants Japan to continue making mistakes, and our attitude is clear. China needs an excuse.

Fu Cong criticizes Sanae Takaichi's remarks: Japan is not qualified to demand to become a permanent member of the UN Security Council.

Fu Cong, China's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, stated at the plenary session of the UN General Assembly on Security Council reform on the afternoon of November 18 that Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi recently made blatantly provocative remarks about Taiwan in the Diet, and he criticized Japan for having no right to demand to become a permanent member of the Security Council.

Fu Cong emphasized that, as is well known, there is only one China in the world, the government of the People's Republic of China is the sole legal government representing all of China, and Taiwan is an inseparable part of China's territory.

He criticized Sanae Takaichi's remarks on Taiwan as extremely erroneous, dangerous, and a blatant interference in China's internal affairs, seriously violating the one-China principle and the spirit of the four political documents between China and Japan. He stated that this was a provocation against international justice, a disruption of the post-war international order, a trampling on the basic norms of international relations, and a blatant departure from Japan's fundamental commitment to a peaceful path. He asserted that such a country has no right to demand a permanent seat on the UN Security Council.

He also warned that if Japan dares to intervene militarily in the Taiwan Strait situation, it will constitute an act of aggression, and China will certainly retaliate forcefully. China will resolutely exercise its right to self-defense under the UN Charter and international law, and firmly safeguard its national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

All shadow boxing I doubt Ccp will start any war soon. Least against Japan or Philippines. Makes no sense.
Historically China only considers Vietnam and Korea as China’s proper, worth risking lives going to war. The rest not. Ccp should keep the nerve and not let be played by Takaichi’s provocation.

Yes, according to historical conventions, we are indeed not interested in Japan's territory. However, we are very interested in revenge.

Many ethnic groups have caused serious harm to us in the past, such as the Guifang, Xiongnu, Khitan, Shiwei, Huihe, and so on. Later on, these ethnic groups were all exterminated by us. Shouldn't Japanese people prove what qualifies them as an exception?

Confucius said, "十世之仇犹可报乎?虽百世可也(Do we still need revenge after ten centuries of national hatred? Confucius said that we also need revenge after a hundred centuries)."

Ultimately, the Dutch government conceded defeat.

Before deciding to confront China, they need to consider their own capabilities. Otherwise, they will only invite humiliation.

Vietnam thought the same in 1979.

Why do so many countries overestimate China's patience?

Don't they know that in the Korean War, 1962, the Pearl Island, 1979, etc., China all was the one who initiated the attack?
