We can field 2 carriers and ASBM, brahmos batteries to choke lines from A&N and TN.

Our strength area will be ship to ship attacks at extended range(800 to 2000 km), something which others lack...so provide air cover to our flotilla and let us release the ER javelines...

Japan's strong area is air cover from ships and their excellent fleet of SSKs, more suited to SCS depths than big SSNs.

A quad alliance seems be becoming a necessity.

Such a tying down of China means they can just spare a few cruisers, destroyers for Indian ocean.

We can match them 1 for 1 away from us like Gulf of Aden etc and have local superiority near coast if they try.

While PLAN will hold local dominance near coast, taiwan and harass small neighbors, they will not be able to counter 8 carriers facing them.

Pretty much stops them from being a globally deployed force and reduce ships they can throw at us in Indian ocean.

Ever heard tyranny of distance Taiwan is just spit away from China whereas US has to haul everything from Hawaii or even San Diego once China paralyzed the US air bases in Okinawa, and Sasebo, There are only some bases in Japan and most of them are not hardened. You should look at that tanker in the Red Sea that recently sunk. The ship did not have that much damage, yet it sunk. All it take to take out an amphibious troop carrier is ONE artillery round. And the strait transit will take at least eight hours.

The super-heavy Russian losses in Ukraine are indeed eye-opening, but 2 years into the war, it seems Russia is winning.

In war, it's the result that matters. And if Russia could actually overwhelm Ukraine with all the West backing, there needs to be a big mark if the West could sustain the support to fight a protracted war with the likes of China, which has many times the industrial and manpower from that of Russia.

The Taiwanese aren't any tougher than Ukrainians, and supplying the Island will be a big problem.
