Bangladesh Air Force

Don't know for sure. Nothing has been made official. I do hope it's true. Lets wait for official statement.
IMO.

The contract for Bangladesh to purchase JF-17 aircraft will not be formally signed until after the elections in Bangladesh have concluded and the new government has been officially formed.

Currently, the relevant agencies in Bangladesh (BAF and some government officials) may be engaged in in-depth discussions with Pakistan regarding contract details. However, it is unlikely that the two sides will sign a formal contract. ------ Signing a military procurement contract with an interim government carries too much risk.

Current government is not a normal interim government. They are standing on the blood of July revolutionaries. They supposed to take bold decisions that are good for the nation. They have the unconditional support of the people.

What's your take in J10? Is Bd getting any?

Oh, currently, the international community defines the current government of Bangladesh as a provisional or transitional government. This is a neutral definition.
Even without changing personnel, it needs to symbolically implement some measures to become a formal government.
This definition does not carry any political stance; it is simply an international convention.

What I can confirm is:

The Chinese government has a friendly and open stance towards Bangladesh's procurement of the J-10CE, and there is also strong support from the Chinese public.

However, we are uncertain whether Bangladesh will ultimately make this choice.

This may involve details of the contract. We suspect the biggest obstacle might be the method of payment. There are many rumors circulating regarding this.

Rumors suggest that:

Bangladesh proposed a plan to completely clone the PAF (Pakistan Air Force) procurement contract, including the payment terms.
However, CATIC (China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation) rejected this plan. This plan would have placed an unbearable financial burden on CATIC.
Subsequently, Bangladesh approached the Export-Import Bank of China, hoping the bank would provide funding for installment payments. Details of this plan are still being worked out. Bangladesh may use other economic activities to secure the interests of the Export-Import Bank of China.

However, none of this information has been confirmed through any official or reliable sources.

So, no long range AD in the nearer term. Only MRSAM for BAF. And they want to prioritise Attack helicopters over long range AD. The money you would spend on 6 Attack helicopters would get you a HQ9BE or even potentially a SIPER system. This is no brainer what we need more. But hey, what can I say.

This is why armed forces doctrinal overhauling and modernization is more important than getting new expensive toys. @LeonBlack08 @AbuShalehRumi

Bangladesh needs a squadron or two of fighter jets that has superior EW, BVR and net-centric capabilities. Gripen-E could be a good choice.

Additionally, one squadron for Bangladesh Navy (non-carrier based role) as it has a vast coastal boundary. I am assuming Bangladesh Airforce has a fibre optic network connecting all land radars. Supplementary satellite based precision PNT (guidance on Positioning, Navigation and Timing) can be procured off the shelf as a service from China's BeiDou constellation (same arrangement as Pakistan - SUPARCO).

As a second step BAF should go for GaN based Saab GlobalEye AEW&C, all part of 2035 roadmap!

I would love this news to be true, but with Bangladesh’s historical procurement history, it may be years before they actually decide on anything and actually put some money down on something.

Attack heli isn't bad, it can help stop a tank thrust which may be likely. I am hearing rumours that HQ-9 is on the cards, not sure though.
