Three Federal Constabulary (FC) men were martyred in a suicide attack on the force’s headquarters in Peshawar’s Saddar area on Monday morning.

The attack occurred on one of the city’s busiest roads just after 8am. Video footage of the incident showed one terrorist, clad in a chaddor, approaching the gate and detonating himself. Seconds later, two other terrorists tried to enter the compound.

The attack occurred as an assembly for the first working day of the week was being held at the main compound.

“Initially, three militants tried to attack the headquarters. One terrorist blew himself up at the gate, while two others tried to enter the premises but were gunned down by FC personnel,” Peshawar Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Dr Mian Saeed Ahmad said while speaking to reporters.

He further said that three FC men had been martyred in the suicide attack at the gate, while two others were injured. He added that a clearance operation had been carried out.

Asked whether a threat alert had been issued prior to the incident, the police official said, “You are aware of the overall situation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the country, so we are on high alert. They were unable to enter [the headquarters] due to this alertness. They were neutralised at the gate.”

The Jamatul Ahrar faction of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the attack.

The paramilitary force, originally called the Frontier Constabulary, was renamed by the government in July. The headquarters of the force is located in a crowded area, close to a military cantonment. The headquarters building houses barracks, hospitals, and residential quarters.

Meanwhile, an emergency was declared at Lady Reading Hospital (LRH), Peshawar’s largest public sector hospital, and Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH).

The spokesmen of the hospitals confirmed that 11 injured had been brought to LRH while one injured person had been brought to KTH.

Today’s incident is the second major terrorist attack on a security installation in Peshawar in the last three years. In February 2023, 84 people were killed in a suicide attack on a mosque in Peshawar’s Police Lines.

We don't need to carpet bomb Afghanistan , selective bombing will yield the desired results .

They should have been doing this since the Karzai regime fell. They should have destroyed all ammo dumps and camps on the border and taken ownership of border security on both sides of the border.

What is the problem with Pakistan. Why doesn't it function like a proper nuclear power. It bumbles its way around aimlessly taking hits and trying to talk their way out.

Attacks on two Bannu police stations foiled

LAKKI MARWAT: Police foiled terrorist attacks on two police stations in Bannu district late on Saturday night.

A police official said that militants targeted two police stations — one in Ghoriwala town and the other in Wazir subdivision — but the law enforcers deployed there responded vigorously and forced the assailants to flee.

He said the attackers, armed with light and heavy weapons, launched the attack on Ghoriwala police station at 11:45pm. After an intense exchange of fire that lasted around 10 minutes, the terrorists escaped.

Separately, in another attack after midnight, the terrorists opened fire on the Wazir police station from the nearby mountains in an attempt to cause casualties and damage to the building, the official said.

He added that police retaliated the attack effectively and after a fierce gun battle that continued for about 25 minutes, the assailants fled the area.

“Although the terrorists used advanced weapons in both attacks they failed to cause any damage to the police installations,” he claimed, adding that all policemen remained safe.

The official revealed that the police had repelled more than 140 terrorist attacks on police stations and posts in the region over the past three months.

He added that scores of militants had been killed or injured in various operations conducted in Bannu, Lakki Marwat and North Waziristan districts.

Police in Swabi killed two terrorists within the jurisdiction of Topi police station, sources said on Monday. According to the district police spokesperson, authorities received information about the presence of outlaws in the Deh Topi area who were planning terrorist attacks.

Acting on the intelligence, a police team immediately rushed to the location. When confronted by law enforcement, the terrorists opened fire on the police team. In the ensuing exchange of fire, both terrorists were killed. Authorities recovered hand grenades, two pistols, and a 125cc motorcycle from their possession.

The slain terrorists were identified as Yasir, son of Sher Aman, and Saudur Rehman, also known as Suwaid, son of Bakht Sultan, both residents of Pabaini. Police said both were active members of the terrorist network Khawarij.

The statement added that the killed militants had been involved in a grenade attack on the Kalabat police post, in which Constable Noor Kamal Shah was critically injured and later attained martyrdom. A search operation is ongoing in the surrounding area to trace any remaining suspects.

Lol

Everyone knows that

Pakistani pushtuns might have some who might be ideologically inclined towards being suicide bombers but the fact is that only one country in this whole world that can produce these many numbers of losers who want to kill themselves as suicide bombers. No other country or community can produce these many retards at one time. Not even hindutva of India
It tells you a lot about the people, poverty and hunger exists, even a war torn country like Syria is now getting some stability, Iraq which once lost a huge chunk of its land to ISIS is now recovering but only Pakistan, and that region of Pakistan and its people still in 2025, when world is making one advancements after another, where most revolutions are coming via major protests these people are still living in the cut throats and khud kuss bombar era, it won't be wrong to say that that region of Pakistan has the most violent and barbaric people in the world maybe after Israeli's who are barbaric but at least intelligent to kill their enemy rather than reproduce like rats only to send their children to strap a bomb and blow up some police post, school or market. Like these youngsters have IQ's in negative that no one even ask their leaders any question, or question their actions. But we have people from the same region of Pakistan, giving these people shelter, moral/financial support, hide them, marry their daughters to them, sneak them into the country, I understand the bond of Tribalism is strong but if you are truely a Muslim which that region's people claims to be then Islam and being a Musalmaan supersedes every other bond, but again nothing will change in region because people don't want to change.
