A society like America, let's say the old America, believed in high trust moral absolute, more or less, derived from Christianity

So when you get Johnny foreigner trying to insist on relativism, dilution of Christianity, even dilution of what monotheism is, that's not respecting the culture


This type of thinking is emblematic of why you guys one year later on really just don't get it

Can't blame the Indians in America for rooting for India. But it still needs pointing out to the likes of Arnab Goswamy and some in this thread who think Indians are better off in India to 'build India'. That's either 'coping' or 'hypocritical'. India has too few opportunities and so Indians are better off in the rich GCC or the rich West. Just look at how Indians in America are promoting H1Bs and other foreign-labor policies-- but at least they are being honest.
Unlike the hypocrites like Arnab.

So the 'Apple Pie' is a story to tell as told to me by my dear departed dad. I had this distant uncle who came to America, whom I never met, he lived all his life in America, he barely had any connection with Pakistan but retired to Pakistan. And on Eid or some festive occasion he'd suggest 'Apple Pie' to eat. No one understood what that was. I am talking about the 1950 or early 60s.
