Come Sit With Me​

Come sit with me, my friend, my enemy.
I will share what little I have
the cold dreams and the hot tea.
I will show you my icy hands
still trying to rebuild what was built with grit.

Come sit with me, my friend, my enemy.
Feel the frost on my shoeless feet
and the cold breath of inhumanity.
Rain drops like tears from my face,
joyous for what will be,
laughing, dancing, singing of yesterday.

I will boil water for us
from the wood that has not been charred.
We will drink the tea that is not in my hands.
I will share my crumbs
from all that has crumbled.

I will show you the twisted fate and twisted metal,
the ragged silhouette of the home that was.
I will show you the smiles flowering from the dirt,
the laughter in the rain,
the sorrow of what was and what isn’t,
the joy of what will be.

Come sit with me, my friend, my enemy.
I will introduce you to my family sleeping
peacefully where they fell.

I agree it's a cowardly way to fight a conflict

But their is a saying, " their is more then one way to skin a cat"

The Arabs for all their faults know that they are not fighting Israel, if it was just Israel they would be fine
They are fighting the U.S, Europe and the west

And in this time period with the power Imbalance that's difficult

So they planned to skin the cat in a different way, betting on changes in the future including, actually especially demographic to support their plans

The plans for them are still ongoing, hamas or Israel didn't end them

Taliban government was deposed by the US after 2 months, and they never returned for 20+ years while the US was there. even though they were fighting on home turf and the US sent a small portion of their army half way across the world.

they hid in caves and did a few terrorist attacks every so often. after the US got bored of playing whack a mole forever and made a deal with the Taliban to leave, then the Taliban took over again and condemned Afghans to life under Taliban rule.

if you call that a victory for Afghans, so be it.

they were able to survive a US occupation for 20 years and the US had enough of pouring resources into Afghanistan so they left.

the US is far from Afghanistan and has no natural interests there. if it was a neighbour, like Gaza to Israel, the situation would be very different.

Palestinians have people in West Bank, inside Israel and the desert. Taliban expanded to Pakistan as well. Now there are enough Palestinians in Syria as well.

Yes but that doesn’t mean all Jews. By saying Jews in general you incorrectly include all the brave Jewish people who are speaking out against Israel. Instead you can say Zionists which includes Zionist of Jewish and Christian background like Rubio Ted Cruz etc
