Nope we are not landlocked.... don't just look at the fire power of navy look at geography and geopolitics....

Geography has restricted you behind 3 island chain and those are under powerful western navies and allies.... this geography deprives you of large open water body and with lots of obstacles in case of hostility..... your are further bogged down with Indonesia Vietnam Malaysia Philippines and then next come again USN IOR fleet along with India as a bonus.....

Look at India or USA maps..... access to 2-3 oceans with large open water bodies with 1000s of islands under our control in our backyard not like you whose islands are mostly controlled by enemies in your own backyard and yes we have loads of allies too..... so our obstacles are not as high as you..... technically you are a landlocked helpless country during full scale war and this your weakness will be utilized to its fullest...... why invest billions in cpec and other projects when you are largest maritime power to begin with.....

Russia almost at all vital openings is chocked by NATO in west and Baltic and east by again USA and allies..... northern sea is useless that is frozen most of the year..... why Russia craves for warm water access?

I never said Indian navy alone will chock you..... it's USA and allies that can chock you if you don't stay within your limits..... you are technically landlocked and blockade prone...... discussion is over for me.....

As if China only had sampan and was armed with bows and arrows and no means to retaliate. The largest navy with more heavy combatants ships bristle with long-range missiles, coming on stream. Missiles, Drone by the thousand, Bomber, Submarines by the hundreds. Yea try to choke and see what will happen

Which is exactly my point, logistics is near impossible to supply Taiwan, and I want to reiterate my point, th3 distance is good for artillery missiles and air force, no Chinese is gonna land without tenderising Taiwan. Taiwan's geography is both a blessing and a curse. If Taiwan is as large as Ukraine, it will be a blessing but Taiwan is a puny island.

And given the narrow landing window you have, which the Taiwanese also know, all Taiwanese defense has to do is survive in sufficient numbers to focus on those landing sites.

That distance will be mined. How many PLA troops WILL die there? Of course, we can count on you not being part of the invasion force, right? You never served, never been in combat, and have no idea how long it can take to move just one mile. All the while, voices in the radio pushing you to move forward because they have to get off the transports as well.

So, let us assume the invasion will be in the Oct-Nov window. That mean China will start bombarding Taiwan for at least 30 days prior to the invasion. By the, the whole world will know what is coming. Trade to China will decrease. Traffic in the SCS will cease. If after 30 days, the PLA decide that Taiwan have not been properly 'tendersized', there will be no invasion.

Taiwan reunification won't be like WW2 which dozens of countries fighting another dozens of countries. ROC troops are known for mass surrendering during the first Chinese civil war.

They make it sound like Taiwan's army is equivalent to Sparta's. Taiwan had for years trouble finding recruits for the so-called professional army because nobody wanted to join the army.

So they have to resort to compulsory military service but with only 2 months what can you learn It takes years to master the art of war See the result of the Ukrainian war where hastily recruits were thrown to war after a couple of months of training they become mince meat in the meat grinder.
