Is it a loitering drone like 358 and 359?

Iran has unveiled its fastest-ever stealth strike drone, the Hadid 110, emerging from the Sahand 2025 drills as a major new IRGC platform with advanced capabilities. The drone reaches over 510 km per hour using twin jet engines, and features a stealth-focused delta wing design with a radar cross section as low as 0.01 to 0.02 square meters. It carries a 30 kilogram payload, has a 350 kilometer range, and a 9.1 kilometer service ceiling, while being capable of high altitude dive attacks designed to evade radar.

Its rail and rocket launch system eliminates the need for a runway and enables deployment from remote or mountainous terrain. During last week’s exercises, Iran also shared its experience from the twelve day war with Israel with SCO partners, showcasing the Hadid 110’s full capabilities. The drone’s aerodynamic, faceted contours, radar absorbing materials, and one hour endurance further enhance its survivability and strike potential.

From Iran’s southern coastal bases, the drone could reach virtually any major United States base or warship in the Persian Gulf or Gulf of Oman. If deployed with Iran’s naval flotillas, it would significantly expand regional power projection, and if provided to regional allies or scaled into a larger UAV, its operational range could potentially extend far enough to reach Israel, marking the Hadid 110 as a strategically significant breakthrough.

Good news it can be used for attack role. But also for defense it can be upgraded to a degree. at 10km altitude and 30kg payload it can carry 2 lightweight stinger type missiles. A low rcs designed external enclosed box-bay underneath(or internally if possible) can carry those small missiles. Ofcourse optical sensors would be necessary as well that would add to the payload and maybe reduce to 1 stinger missile option. Ofcourse high altitude performance of stinger type manpads are debatable but they are attached to drones like usa predator drone for a long time. Sensors of the drone wont be heavy long - medium range like karrar a2a drone but would be enough if the drone is guided like a missile from a ground radar or similar to make it come close to targets. Then drone operator can track and engage the targets.

Maybe a slightly larger version of it can be developed that can carry larger longer range a2a missiles. Or maybe Iran has other designs for that role like other countries loyal wingman designs. But this one appears to be another cheap side option to complement air defense. What matters as much is that once a weapon is tested after prototype stage and satisfy requirements sufficient quantity of them needs to be produced and in case of urgent need they should be available for immediate use.

Funny ... and in fact all is based on the Israeli Harpy, which is based on the South African Kentron ARD-10 loitering drone/munition from the late 1980s.

South Africans copied from the Germans etc yeah Iran gets a lot of their text from Hezbollah in previous rounds but to be fair they made a more cost affordable product that was better than the harpy and many countries took notice and copied it as well

its fair to say they perfected it .

No my dear. Harpy is very complex. Has a seeker and even uses AI assisted FLIR cameras to distinguish the target. It has no COTS technologies. Engine is complex and low noise ad hoc designed to have minimum IR Signal and noise. Shahed was the first OWA long range drone y 95% of COTS technology where you can buy everything from Alibaba or other suppliers. From the navigation system to the engine. Just the warhead It is somehow complex. That is the reason why is unbeteable.

Not sure why you are offended when these are indisputable and not even overhyped facts, so please read again: „based“ is all I Said !!!

I don't understand why you diminish the achievement of iranians. They're different concepts. Harpy is a very advanced OWA drone, with an advanced seeker, to seek and destroy radars. It is a kind of very long range anti tank missile, designed to hit accurately a High valué target with a very advanced seeker. Shahed 136 It is a flying very long range bomb. Designed to be expendable, cheapest versions are not contour flying profile and are designed to be launched in salvos, with the goal of depleting Air Defense systems, with the lowest cost available components. It is more similar to an V1 than a Harpy.
