I will say when he disarmed the guy, the situation is still hot, it's still a life threatening situation. He could have shot him without consequence.

What if he tried but couldn't, as some initial reports said he got injured in the arm too.
btw, what type of gun was that, it looked like it needed to be loaded after every shot. So for totally inexperienced person that maybe another reason to not attempt at pulling the trigger as attacker seeing you struggling with the gun is the last thing you want. It will discard your armed advantage.

I can't find the posts anymore but I saw on this forum people using a X.com post as evidence that Ahmed Al-Ahmed (the hero in Bondi beach) was actually a Christian and his shop had Crosses everywhere. Those users should come forward and admit their mistake in propagating false information else they should be banned. We know why they were quick to share that unverified information.
