what radars does Sahand use to guide these Sayyad 3 missiles?

I guess no need for VLS if Sayyad 3 SAM can be installed like that instead

Nawab VLS on Zolfaqar class speedboats (IRGC)
Nawab and Sayyad 3 (VLS?) on Shahid Soleimani class catamarans (IRGC)
Sayyad 3 on Sahand and hopefully soon remaining Moudge class light frigates too (IRIN)

Good improvements for A2/AD capabilities of Iranian Navies

unfortunately only 4 Fateh class submarines are planned and only the fourth one will have AIP

Fateh 2 is under trials and Fateh 3 and 4 are supposedly under construction

instead of promising 3000 ton submarines, mass production of 600-1200 ton submarines with AIP (Fateh-4 is great start) would be arguably more effective

also eager to see what submarines IRGC-N can build, they produce everything faster and to a higher standard (bla bla thanks to money)

But in the article they write:

"The official disclosed that the project is underway, with plans to install the AIP system on the first Fateh-class submarine within approximately a year. After assessing the results on the initial submarine, the modernization process will extend to other boats in the class."

therefore the other three could also be upgraded with AIP, who knows perhaps by lengthening the hulls by adding a section

4 submarines is a decent number given military budget of Iran.

I figured Fateh would replace Ghadir production moving forward. But it seems they are not moving forward with this design.

Next up will be Besat for IRIN which should be a beast of a sub and help take the workload off of Iran’s aging kilos which will eventually need to be retired in 10-15 years or mothballed for a large war.

Why wouldn't Iran use its nuclear program to make a nuclear powered submarine? Just aiming for it to be nuclear powered and capable of launching conventional and WMD ballistic missiles

Legally it is alright, nothing stops anyone from using its nuclear program for such projects

oh dear, they still need to add VLS and radars to most of Moudge class so they have a lot of things to do

moving from 600 tons to 3000 tons makes no sense to me. if they take this long to build 600 ton Fateh and 1200-1500 ton Moudge class, I wonder how long they will take to build 3000 ton Besat and how outdated it will already be by then

Tell us where the hell the VLS should be installed on Moudge class? There is barely any space and the ship design and bulk is not meant for that

ask General Khanzadi who promised VLS on Moudge not me

So the Iranian intelligence ship is providing targeting data to Houthis ?

Well done Iran no one has the guys to target an Iranian warship

Well the ship is a signals vessel primarily so sharing traffic and positioning data is easily within its purview.
