PAF Conducts Successful Test Launch of Taimoor ALCM

Dil pe to nai but dimagh pe zarur lia hai. With all the claims of plans to change Pakistan's industrial base, the uncouth attitude of many here may be the reason why their strategy isn't working. But it is always easier to blame others instead of looking inwards.

I am sure you know a Sqn Ldr doesn't have any say in top level decisions, but I doubt any senior officer will tolerate disrespect?. Wo dil pe zarur letay hain. 😅
Welcome to civilian life.
We have a retired major as our university security head. His job profile also included to check attire/dress of students. On his first day, he was at the gate explaining his role and giving us warnings and what not about dress code.
Because he couldn't punish like the Army, our gujjars/jutts kept wearing flipflop and after 2-3 days, he just reconciled with it. There is no reason behind this madness but you are dealing with a large and diverse cohort.
It also happens after 1-2 years of martial law. You will get used to it.

what do you think we will do to solve that .
Air Mobile Son!
Pakistan's millitary need to get out of this defensive bubble. They need They need plan like a expeditionary force.
Yes more C-130s both in cargo and air refuel tanker roles are must across the strech of Pakistan

But low number medium to heavy lift helicopters are our pain point. Not just troop carriers Helicopter mobility to sling load supplies, light vehicles and artillery pieces.

Idea is sustained sorties not just one heavy cargo flight and 1-2 days of wait.
Keep the tempo or enemy is going shove that tempo in you.

USA's military is just one big logistic company that can sustain operations across the planet.

When it comes to ground launched offensive weapons, no one seems to be talking about TELs. Pakistan could be producing thousands of H1/2/4, Babur, etc but if there's no way to deploy them and use them, they may as well be useless. Does anyone know if we at least produce our own TELs or do we have to import them? How many regiments of Babur, H1, H2, do we actually have? Have we seen any increased orders for TELs? That would be a sure way to see if we've actually ramped up production of these weapons.

I think production of missiles is a bigger bottleneck for Pakistan than TELs surely. Even if you import them from China it shouldn't be a issue.

Which makes me think, why doesn’t Pakistan invite Turkish defense firms, ask them to set up local subsidiaries or partner with Pakistani private/public firms and contract them to build whatever conventional products you want? The military gets a top of the line NATO-standard product, the local firms can absorb new technology, improve their facilities and manufacturing processes and the Turkish firms get another reliable market. Everyone wins!

I mean the same way American firms are contracted to build whatever products the Aussies, UK, Canada need through their local subsidiaries?

@JamD
I think this is already being done with Bayraktar atleast.
