NEW/IMPORTANT — According to high-level Israeli security sources, Turkey is continuing the training and preparation of military units to join the peacekeeping force in Gaza.

Accordingly, two scenarios are being considered: either a combat force will be deployed, or a logistics-medical force that will also be involved in Gaza's administration will be sent.

Israel rejects both options and emphasizes that the entry of any Turkish force into Gaza would be a source of dangerous tension.

According to Israeli security sources, the U.S. is applying pressure to evaluate various options for Turkey's participation in the peacekeeping force.

Israel is concerned that the entry of Turkish soldiers into Gaza would cause operational difficulties, since it is unclear who the Turkish soldiers on the ground would take orders from or how coordination with the Israeli army would proceed.

At the same time, Israel approaches full intelligence sharing with Turkish soldiers with suspicion, but it is emphasized that it would be very difficult for a foreign unit on the ground to operate without intelligence.

In Israel, there are question marks about how Turkish soldiers would behave toward an armed Hamas member or what they would do if attacked.

On the other hand, the Turkish presence on the ground is being evaluated as an "enemy presence," and there are concerns that Turkish soldiers would support Hamas or even form a Turkey-backed force within the framework of a regional Turkish axis.

According to Israeli security authorities, Turkey's presence in the field would not contribute to stability and would complicate administration.
