Turkey Said to Seek Membership of Saudi-Pakistan Defense Pact

I am in favor of such an arrangement, I am dubious on the "nuclear umbrella" aspect, as Pakistani programs and rhetoric has always said it was "India-specific", and there is wisdom in that.

Afaik this is a musharraf era misconception that stems from him trying to cover up nuclear sharing by blaming AQ khan and claiming Pakistans nuclear program was only against india in order to calm us and isreali worries. Nuclear program was always supposed to protect Pakistan from any and all enemies even if primary focus was india, for example i believe zia thought us wouldn’t go to war with ussr if they invaded Pakistan so building nuclear weapons was the only way to garuntee deterrence

Turkey is also member of NATO, I don't know how it would work

Pakistans armed forces shud b allowed to deal with any enemy local or abroad. This shud b part of their oath

As it is for US forces

This India specific thought shud b buried for ever

Turkey is seeking to join the defense alliance between Saudi Arabia and nuclear-armed Pakistan, according to people familiar with the matter, paving the way for a new security alignment that could shift the balance of power in the Middle East and beyond.

The deal, initially signed by Saudi Arabia and Pakistan in September, states that “any aggression” against one country is considered an attack on all. That mirrors Article 5 in NATO, of which Turkey is the largest military after the US. The talks are at an advanced stage and a deal is very likely, said the people, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Any organization with more than three members must have a sufficiently powerful member to act as its leader. Without a leader, or if there are two or more leaders, the organization will experience significant internal instability.

When the United Nations was founded, the US and the Soviet Union jointly led it. These two powers were in constant conflict. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the US dominated the UN, and the world was relatively peaceful. After China's rise, the UN gradually entered a phase of renewed confrontation.
The same is true for other international organizations.
NATO is relatively stable because of the dominance of the United States. If the US were to withdraw from NATO, the organization would immediately descend into chaos.

So, if Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan form a military alliance, who will be the leader?

In the current global environment, how will the entire organization choose its stance? ------ Inevitably, one country will forcefully demand that the entire organization take a side.

Ideals are ideals. Reality is reality!

In 2015, at the initiative of Indian Prime Minister Modi, the "International Solar Alliance" was established with over 100 countries participating. However, China, as the global leader in the solar energy industry and the absolute market leader, did not join the organization.

Have any of you heard of this organization? ------ I only learned about its existence because President Trump recently announced the US withdrawal from it.

I remember people were talking shit to @MMM-E and mocking him about such a potential deal, and now we have bloomberg reporting on the matter.

The Saudi Pakistan deal contained a nuclear umbrella. If Turkey is actually going to join such a deal, then thats a gamechanger.
So saudi and turkey will bury their differences ?

Human bodies will always remain most important, white race conquered planet when they had 10 children in average.

Right! Been watching some documentaries last few days about the Bubonic Plague in Europe in 14th century and was struck by the overpopulation in Europe. I thought, 'Dang! they were like the Nigerians of today's world!' LOL!

I Really don't think how it will benefit turkey 😕.
Iran ,saudi ,Turkey all three wanna be leader of midde east .

So turkey has "chosen" KSA over the UAE then?

Turks and uae have been rivals for over a decade. This was hardly a surprise. Im more interested in how Pakistani qom with apartments in Dubai and bradar islamic mulk vibes will react if this truly does turn more anti uae in nature. I dont expect government to try and derail uae relationship at all but by proxy Pakistan might be caught up in something it cannot control

There is no "leader" there are converging interests. How do France, Germany and UK have a partnership? Who is the Leader?

That is the million dollar question - because the Qualm prefers their apartments and money to Pakistan any minute of their days.
Interestingly, I would think Pakistanis would be better served by taking their Dubai investments(at least those not totally haram) and moving it to KSA. That will gain a lot of goodwill.

Both Medina and Makkah are opening up to foreign ownership soon - and all over - this is where Pakistanis should park money (because nothing will convince them of investing in Pakistan) and at least help build goodwill where it matters instead of their repute as filthy day laborers and beggars.
