Frankly, this is a very sad day for the cricketing world.
No. The sad day for cricket started when India first pulled the stunt to not go to Pakistan.

As a parallel India has no sporting or cultural ties with another enemy country China
For once you are correct. India has never played any bilateral cricket series with China.
Regards

Why? As long as you agree to play as per schedule.Encourage you to do this for Pakistan
Irrelevant groupThe real winner here is the Shiv Sena which had its way .
For the same reason why Pakistan does not ban playing cricket with India.Sirji,
Question for you.
Bangladesh,, and Pakistan are India's enemy countries.
Why do enemy countries have to play cricket?
A bit of history...
India and Pakistan stopped playing cricket anywhere fir 7 years from 1971-1978. The ban on playing cricket ( and all other sports and mutual cultural events ) with Pakistan was initiated by India then ruled by the Congress Party under Indira Gandhi, The ban was revoked only when Shri Morarji Desai's government came to power in 1977 and Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the foreign minister.
As a parallel India has no sporting or cultural ties with another enemy country China
So question to you again Sir.
Why doesn't India ban playing cricket, and also sever all sporting and cultural links with Pakistan? We wouldn't be wasting time writing long messages on this forum,
It would be a tremendous favorWhy? As long as you agree to play as per schedule.
How does it matter what Pakistan wants.i.e. If a country is your enemy, you don't harm your own sports to spite your enemy, you run them out of the sports you love.
Frankly, this is a very sad day for the cricketing world.
Final decision was announced. We will not go to terror hub India to play.
India and China have minimal sporting ties because India and China do not share the same culture or history. How does it matter what Pakistan wants.
I already pointed out the precedence from 1970-1978 .
Was India's cricketing status harmed during the era when Indian cricket had stars like Sunil Gavaskar., Gunduppa Vishwanath and Bishen Singh Bedi ? I doubt if Pakistanis cared that much about sporting ties with India after losing to Indian intervention in the Civil War in the then East Pakistan
If the Congress had returned to power in 1977 the ban on sporting and "cultural " ties with Pakistan would have remained forever. In fact when the Congress did return to power in 1981 the cricket and other sporting ties were promptly downgraded. The current mess is the Vajpayee-Advani legacy starting in 1977 and once again revived in 1996.
Why doesn't India have sporting ties with China ?
Off topic : Share the same culture and history? Wasn't China Buddhist for most of its history and the Buddhist culture is still largely prevalent though not in a strictly religious sense?India and China have minimal sporting ties because India and China do not share the same culture or history.
The USA had no common sports with China either, but found out that Chinese love ping-pong ( table tennis) and badminton. When President Nixon initiated the outreach to China in 1971-1972 a US table tennis team was promptly despatched to break the ice, Why can't India play China at table tennis ( and badminton) which is popular in India as well. They are no common sports they play or at excel at.
Pakistan is a "bankrupt failed terrorist state" so China has no need to play any sports with Pakistan.Same for Pakistan and China
