If this is true, it is a huge achievement. It would explain why Israel is so keen to demolish the Iranian missile program.

People don't realize how much cost an SM3. It is not only the cost of construction. It is the time (Raytheon needs time to build them), the constructions program must be carefully aligned with construction of foreign purchases, and even if US Navy finally decides to appropiate them you will void japanese purchases or any other user (they're used also in ABM shield) so that would shake the operativity of other armies.

Deployment of them at Middle East of thousands of sailors and soldiers cost millions daily.

If the war erupts most of those missiles would be burn in combat. Just the cost of that war will diminish the general budget in a already squeezed economy.

Let they bleed. Spend months and finally let them attack. Even if they succeed in their Air campaign It will be phyrric victory.

I also suspect that after China CMC's purge, if Trump attack Irán there will be a opportinity like never before to retake Taiwán. With advanced interceptors burnt in Irán and Ukraine Taiwán is lost.

It's simple mathematics (that's why school is important folks), a numbers game. Iran has way more missiles of all sorts and suicide drones of all sorts than the US Navy has capabilities to counter them. Overwhelm, overwhelm, overwhelm. Sink 2 or 3 destroyers within 24 hours and the US will start to turn on Israel.

So you think destroying an aircraft carrier or destroyers will make trump turn back truth is the opposite he will attempt to destroy entire Iranian cities he will take a page out of Israelis playbook he doesn’t care about the lives of Iranians he cares only about his narcissistic tendencies and wants the world to bow down to his feet not saying Iran shouldn’t fight back they should fight hard as hell but this isn’t going to be a clean war.
Here’s what’s going to happen trump will bomb Iranian sites than say we are done and tell the Iranians I hope you had enough we sent our message it’s going to happen fast either Iranians respond heavily and go after everyone involved or just fire off at Israel a few rounds maybe hit an empty American base I think they will respond heavily if not well that’s it Iran isn’t going to last long one way or the other

I think Iran can actually inflict heavy casualties on the US Navy in this war. And will cause Democrats to easily get rid of Trump for starting this, and greatly increase the number of Americans who hate Israel.
