Su-57 on the ramp of the country's fighter base....

▪️This photo was taken some time ago at one of the country's major bases, where you can see several transport and reconnaissance aircraft of the Iranian Air Force along with a special guest named Su-57. I had this photo for a long time, but I did not publish it for security reasons, because in any case, until the country's high-ranking commanders themselves unveil their achievements and purchases, we do not feel any duty in this regard.

▪️However, I am republishing this photo for you after a long time so that you know that the talks we have had and are having over the years are based on documentation, not the nonsense that some self-serving, counter-revolutionary, and traitorous channels like Flight at the Top say...

The Su-57 fighter jet, serial number 054, is an early version(T‑50‑4) of the Russian aircraft specifically designed for air shows. It frequently participates in air shows around the world.

In 2025, it participated in the Indian Air Show. On its return journey from the air show to Russia, it made a stopover at an airbase in Iran before returning home.

Each time it goes abroad to participate in an airshow, a transport team will accompany it, carrying a support team and supplies.

This is already publicly known international news.

High chances that Iran placed an order for Su-57E

Is this possible that new military budget rise can be allotted to IRGC to excavate joint missile bases+IRIAF bases or just the ones for IRIAF ?

Battlefield has changed, open airbases wont survive for a long war.

Iran won’t be able to afford too many SU-57E. They need over 48+ at the minimum to replace the entire F-14 fleet.

Iran will still need a J-31 or SU-75 type fighter to form the bulk of its fleet.

SU-75 is probably the best bet for Iran, given Chinese military arms relations are not that solid.

I’m still skeptical we get anything at this point. We been hearing SU-30/35’s are on the way since the Obama administration.

According to rumors, there are going to be heavy investments for the Air Force. Bases like Eagle 44 will definitely be built.

Naaaa I think Irans finances are strapped and waiting on an aircraft that might see for several years or longer is going to help them in the short term.

At least the su type aircraft are top notch let’s see how it compares in the future but Russians are so far behind in the game when Chinese are already testing 6th generation aircraft

su-57 is a good replacement for f-14 and works well with su-35 and yak-130. su-75 would be cheaper which is important but it's very far away from production whereas su-57 is already ready for export

SU-57 is also expensive. Algeria’s export version of the fighter jet cost $2B for just 12 aircraft. Cheaper than American sure. But still expensive.

That means Iran wanting more than 50+ of these will be north of $8B dollars. Plus hourly maintenance costs (which isn’t cheap for any fighter jet regardless of origin). That single order is over 1/3 of the annual military budget.

Plus 48 fighters for country the size of Iran is not a lot and if they go for just 24 then it’s somewhat useless. Plus you have to figure 20-30% of the fleet is in maintenance mode at any given time (F-22 sometimes pushes 50%+).

Also keep in mind that F-35’s are now shipping with weights in their nose instead of radars due to shortages in production delayed radars till 2028!

So any SU-57 order with Russia likely won’t completely be fulfilled till 2030 at the earliest. We been waiting for SU-35 for 3+ years.

yes, I acknowledged su-75 is much more affordable but hasn't even made its first flight yet

a small order of 12-24 su-57s would work well with a larger number of 60+ su-75 alongside the already ordered 48 su-35.

I would of course rather focus on China but China seems less willing to give us anything so our only option is Russia and we should make the most of it

China will help...but only with plausible deniability....they don't want to get entangled. At least not yet.....BRICs needs to form their own NATO.....like yesterday!
