Undocumented Immigrants Deportation Operation

What about the ones who were born in pakistan and had never been to afghanistan before.
This is not America. Being born here to foreign parents does not grant you automatic citizenship.

What are they going to do there
They can jump off a cliff when they get there.

and will they be able integrate into the society.
Punch the nearest woman in the face.

Integration into Afghan society complete.

Migrants in Pakistan report rising arrests, deportations

Afghan migrants being arrested by Pakistani police in Islamabad.
Migrant families in Pakistan say they are living with mounting anxiety as arrests and deportations have increased in recent weeks, with many fearing that relatives could be detained at any moment.

Some migrants say Pakistani police are detaining Afghan citizens, mistreating them and deporting them without allowing them to collect their belongings.

Several have also alleged that police demand money during the process, particularly in the aftermath of recent militant attacks in Pakistan, when pressure on Afghan communities has intensified.

“In our colony, everyone is at risk. They are arrested and taken to Haji Camp for deportation. Their human rights are violated,” said Nazir, an Afghan migrant in Pakistan.

“The situation in Pakistan is not suitable for Afghan migrants and is challenging. They barely go out of home. They use nights for going to the market,” said Fatima, another migrant.

Abdul Jabbar Takhari, the Taliban’s acting consul general in Pakistan, said in an interview that 105 Afghan citizens had recently been released from prisons in Sindh Province and returned to Afghanistan.

According to Takhari, the detainees — including women and children — had been held for about a month because of what he described as security-related issues along routes in Sindh and Balochistan provinces.

“They were detained for the past month,” he said, adding that their release followed efforts by the Taliban authorities.

Takhari said 62 Afghan citizens remain in detention in Sindh province.

The reports of arrests and deportations come amid strained relations between Pakistan and the Taliban. Pakistani officials have previously said that security concerns have prompted stricter enforcement measures, while Afghan migrants say they are bearing the brunt of those tensions.

Figures compiled by Amu TV from Taliban statements show that at least 19,000 migrants were deported by Pakistan over the past week, followed by around 12,000 returnees in its previous week.

For many migrant families in Pakistan, the uncertainty has become part of daily life — a persistent fear that the next knock on the door could mean detention and expulsion, particularly in the Faisal Town, a migrants’ colony in Islamabad.

All Afghans are not traitors to Pakistan some had been loyal to their adopted land. I’s like saying that Benazir Bhutto, Asif Zardari, Nawaz Sharif et al never stole even one rupee from the national exchequer. Overall Afghans have been working for the enemies of Pakistan and Iran while they lived there as refugees. An Iranian in Canada told me that Afghans claim all the lands in Pakistan and Iran that one was once conquered by Afghan ruler Ahmad Shah Durrani. The Afghans told these land belongs to them so they are not refugees here but are in Greater Afghanistan.

Next time I go to Islamabad, I dont want to see single afghani in any family park. If Islamabad police cannot deal with afghanis then its time for Punjab to take over Islamabad and reclaim its land.

Clearly federal govt have failed to protect Islamabad.

What is happening with Afghan refugees is actually the result of their own actions.

Nearly 57,000 refugees have been sent back from the Afghan camps established in Pishin.. A large number of them were individuals who were supporting TTP, BLA, and other such elements here.. !!

ISLAMABAD — In a sweeping move to secure its national database, the Federal Government has intensified its nationwide crackdown on illegally obtained Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs). Spearheaded by the Ministry of Interior and the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), the operation targets tens of thousands of Afghan nationals who fraudulently acquired Pakistani citizenship, as well as the corrupt officials and local citizens who facilitated them.

At the heart of the government's strategy is a forensic look at the country's earliest identity records, combined with unprecedented on-the-ground enforcement by local police and intelligence agencies.

The 1974 Loophole: Tracing the "Fake Family Trees"

To understand the current crisis, investigators are looking back to 1974—the year Pakistan first began issuing manual, paper-based National Identity Cards (NICs) under the National Registration Act of 1973.

Because the 1974 system relied heavily on manual record-keeping, verbal testimonies, and physical ledgers, it became the Achilles' heel of Pakistan's modern digital registry. For decades, Afghan refugees fleeing conflict crossed the porous border and sought legal integration. Many managed to insert themselves into the manual family registries of local Pakistani citizens.

Today, to verify a modern digital CNIC, NADRA traces the applicant's lineage back to those original 1974 records. If a Pakistani citizen falsely "vouched" for an Afghan national in the 1970s, 80s, or 90s, claiming them as a son, daughter, or sibling, that Afghan effectively became a permanent, legal branch of a Pakistani family tree. NADRA has stated that only the original, untampered proof from 1974 ledgers—verified through modern biometric lineage scrubbing—is now being accepted to clear flagged or blocked ID cards.

Sweeping Powers Granted to SHOs and Intelligence

To weed out these legacy errors and recent frauds, the Federal Government has authorized a massive, multi-agency physical verification drive.

  • The Mapping Mandate: Station House Officers (SHOs) across all police stations in the four provinces (Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan) have been granted special directives to map the residences and businesses of Afghan citizens. This includes tracking those holding valid visas and passports to ensure they are not overstaying or secretly utilizing forged Pakistani documents.
  • Intelligence Agency Integration: State intelligence agencies, including the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and the newly empowered National Cybercrime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), are working alongside local SHOs to identify suspicious financial activities, property purchases, and travel patterns linked to flagged CNICs. Authorities allege that many of these fake IDs have been exploited for money laundering and terror financing.

The NADRA Intelligence Report: Cracking Down on the Inside

The recent directive issued by NADRA Intelligence Islamabad makes it clear that the state is not just going after the undocumented migrants, but the network that enabled them. The mandate strictly places three groups under the legal microscope:

  1. Afghan Nationals: Those holding the forged documents.
  2. NADRA Staff: Corrupt insiders who accepted heavy bribes, utilizing colored printers and bypassing biometric safeguards to approve fake marriage certificates (nikahnamas) and birth records.
  3. Local Facilitators: Pakistani citizens who financially profited by selling "slots" in their family trees to non-citizens.
Over 250,000 CNICs have already been flagged and automatically blocked by NADRA's updated AI-driven scrutiny systems. The high-level meetings in Islamabad concluded that any Pakistani citizen found guilty of acting as a "facilitator" for foreign nationals will face severe legal consequences under the Pakistan Penal Code and the NADRA Ordinance, including lengthy prison sentences and the potential freezing of their own assets.

PESHAWAR:
In the wake of heightened tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, law enforcement agencies in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa have detained more than 2,000 Afghan nationals during a targeted crackdown on undocumented foreigners.

Prosecution sources confirmed that cases were registered against the detainees under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act. Magistrates' courts subsequently ordered their transfer to jails on judicial remand.

The operation, which began on February 27 and continued until March 4, focused primarily on Peshawar, Nowshera, and Charsadda districts. In Peshawar alone, around 1,600 Afghan residents, including those without legal status, were taken into custody. An additional approximately 400 were arrested in Nowshera and Charsadda combined.

The crackdown was part of broader efforts to address security concerns and enforce immigration laws amid ongoing border disputes and the closure of key crossing points, such as Torkham.

According to official sources, the operation has been temporarily suspended from March 4 until Eidul Fitr, owing to the border shutdown and related challenges that prevent deportations and create administrative complications, including overcrowding in detention facilities.

Police and provincial authorities have described the pause as a temporary administrative measure, not a permanent policy change, to manage the situation during the holy month of Ramazan and upcoming Eid celebrations.
