You might ask, why hasn’t China intervened in the Middle East to stop the U.S. from waging war? I think you should consider it from a military perspective. We need logistical support, military bases, defense industry maintenance facilities, and a large number of engineers familiar with Chinese military equipment. Among Middle Eastern countries, apart from our friends in Pakistan, who would provide these? Iraq? Syria? Saudi Arabia? UAE? Or Egypt and Jordan? Are our planes supposed to take off from China and return to China for maintenance? We have millions of dissatisfied citizens that welcome the idea of military intervention in Iran because they're tired of the current situation and believe nothing can change without foreign intervention.

It's been confirmed by local media as well. Even the Ministry of Science, Technology, Research has confirmed it and released an announcement.

When hundreds of your top students march against you in your public universities, on the first day of reopening them after nearly 2 months, and when they know a foreign country is about to attack you, you have lost your public support.

For context, Sharif University has fewer than 10K students overall. Most of them did not go to university today and we still had a large crowd of students marching and chanting slogans against the system.

Iran is in a dire need of immediate change and fundamental reforms but the regime has totally abandoned the country and has left it to rot and be torn apart by others.
