PAF J-35AE - News, Updates and Discussions

A decade is very very optimistic if the "AMCA" is delivered on time and it is delivered with the "correct stealth shaping" for true stealth and associated EW systems and datalinks.

I would place my money on Chinese stealth shaping technology more than on India's right now( and yes, Pakistan as yet cannot match India in aerospace development technology).

The Indian's will also have to counter the KAAN alongside the J-35AE(yes, I do think PAF will get both), which is starting to look like the F22 Raptors long lost brother!
There is no Indian AMCA or stealth. Like the junk Tejas, it will be hastily put together by buying engines from here, radar from there and just building a joke looking air frame and claim how it is second best only to F-22 raptor.

India cannot build a true 5th gen from scratch. They simply do not have the technical knowledge to do it and they will not have it in the next decade as well.

Assembling kits and screwing them together doesnt mean you can make entire new aircraft that too 5th gen. If that was true and if they had even an inkling of that capability, they would already have an aircraft and not need Rafales.

China can build 5th Gen, because it is literally assembling, copying, improving, building its own combat jets for over 3 decades now. The amount of vast multi disciplinary industrial engineering knowledge needed here does not exist in India, in fact it doesn't exist even in Russia nor in any single European country (on its own)

Don't forget PFX. All three of these fighters will be the backbone of the PAF in 30, while the JF-17 Block 3 and J-10C start fading out. And 6th-gen might just join the PAF in the next 10 years [my prediction]. Pakistan needs to fix its economy ASAP. For the first time in history, the PAF is full of options, while India, with all the money, has none or very limited options. A scenario no one saw coming. Just like the economic rise of Turkey and China, helping Pakistan, I wonder if Pakistan can also rise as an economic brick to complement Other 2.

I truly firmly truly believe there is no such thing as PFX. It is not possible for Pakistan to do, given it does not have the depth of engineering talent, historical projects, or infrastructure to design, develop, manufacture, verify, certify, integrate and deploy. When people mention PFX to me, this is what I see when people mention PFX to me..

Appreciate a bit on the "nose" for some people(pun intended), but to me, this is what the PFX project is. I am happy to consider the possibility of JF17-Alpha, but not PFX.

Only the line I couldn't agree with your comment. If Tejas is better than F-35 (according to the indian logic) then AMCA will be a generation ahead of F-22. 😬

Recent events has made it even more critical to introduce J35s as quickly as possible and the rest of its ecosystem.
I would say recent events calls for more J-10CE's with more PL-15's and at least another sq of JF-17. Our Mirages/F-7PG's are older than Qaim Ali Shah and they have little to offer in Modern combat except launching Raad and other ALCM. We need to convert the J-10's for this role also try to integrate Taimoor into JF-17s.

As my grandmother used to say - go in the back and shake the tree to have these things fall off if it is that easy.

We need to invest more in quality education and accessibility more than anything.

Our retarded population is not going to survive in the newer political climate of might makes right otherwise. Only nations that are large enough to matter and competent to make things work will survive.

No better time than now to bring in some J-35AEs during Pakistan Day flypast with Israeli F-35s flying few hundred KMs from Pakistani border.

Pakistan needs few squadrons of stealth jets on urgent basis considering highly volatile state of region.
Need to boost our defense with especially air defense

But what if there is no Tree in the back?
I mean money must be short, but i personally think PAF should let J-35's mature a little bit. J-10CE is battle tested, and it can replace older Mirages/F-7PG's which PAF have to eventually. If they can't afford J-10's then they can try to go for an additional JF-17 block 3 sq.

a fleet of 100 j10CP and 150 JF17C [assuming Blk2 and 1 could be upgraded to blk3] will keep any other airforce at bay for sometime till J35 in inducted and operationalized. Think about it, we start getting J35A in dec 2026, by the time we get one squadron it will be end of 2027, by the time it is fully operationalized it will be end of 2028. by the time we have 2 -3 squadrons of J35 it will be 2029/30. Keep in mind this is accelerated timeline.

Gotta have 2 squardons of J35, 2 more squardons of J10CEs and full strength of refueler squardon 13 more refuellers to keep any airforce at bay.
