Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

There is very little PR value in hitting civilians especially for Iran.

The Khamenai comment is if the attack is another April 2024 or Al Assad 2020 like attack. Israel will feel emboldened and could strike at Khamenai to cause choas inside Iran and disorder and force the various factions to fight (infighting that is) each other for a new Supreme Leader.

Looks like the only ones who didn’t take the threat seriously was the leadership in Tehran.

Nobody will put all eggs in one basket. China doesn't play traditional role US does. US dollar is still strong. But GCC will advance rumored security alliances with Pakistan-Turkey. And will counter Israeli schemes in Somailia, Ethopia, etc .....

The US is allowing Iran time to strike at GCC potentially as message to GCC that you need to get back into Abraham Accords. US airstrikes have essentially stopped since yesterday unless the reporting has been awful. It does appear to be more Israel that conducted the strikes. US hit 30-50 government/security force targets. It was one of the more limited options presented to Trump.

Israel went after missile factories and Iranian leadership.

They both appear to have wanted this to be a short term campaign. Trump just wants Israel lobby off his back.

It remains to be seen if US strikes renew tonight or tomorrow morning or not.

If I was GCC I would be furious at the US for kowtowing to Israel. Israel went in, killed some Iranian leaders and mostly targeted missile factories then told US and GCC to deal with consequences.

Not that GCC is happy with Iran either. But I expect a toughened GCC stance with the US, particularly about/against Israel.

I think you're incorrect. I imagine you are being hopeful here rather than brutally realistic.

GCC are cucked for life. The fight in their hearts died decades ago.

I think they will quietly clean up their messes after this and buy even more US weapons and build even more US bases on their soil. Just my two cents.

No, because US wouldn’t want to be seen by Russia or China or even the ICC as having a direct link to the assassination of a leader of a sovereign state, which is illegal under international law.

They want to throw the blame all on Israel and claim they never knew Israel was going to strike Khamenai’s compound.
