IDF has been hitting a lot of high value air defence systems today unfortunately

not that they did anything in the first place but it will embolden them to strike deeper in Iran with JDAMs etc

Moving ground targets can be detected by doppler shift. The vehicles need to use terrain masking while moving. I dont know F16s aesa has this capability from sufficient ranges though like 50kms+. Possibly drones like hermes detected and alerted the planes to strike them. Mersad shorad coverage was necessary to take out the recon drones like hermes.

Planes also take sar picturing to detect stationary targets so camouflage is necessary. Russia possibly doesnt have sufficient moving target detection capability in Ukraine war zone so they had a hard time detecting moving ad vehicles and himars vehicles. Ukraine also employs camouflage in its ad vehicles that can confuse sar detection(removing corners etc.).

Another sam battery needs to be active in the same area while the other is changing locations. But it requires more than one vehicle scanning the same area and is not possible in case of Iran it seems.
