China isn’t getting any oil any time soon I personally don’t think Iran is falling that easily but oil isn’t going out of Iran anytime soon

Assuming all the allies are operating with IFF mode 5. There are still plenty of things which may go wrong.

Key mismatch (key loader issue)
GPS time mismatch
Expired keys (mode 5 keys generally expire after 24 hours)

The error most likely lies with Kuwaiti AD operators for not ensuring the loading of valid IFF keys.

There is another possibility, the AD System’s IFF might not be working and they panic fired. I dont think they have centralized Command & Control

GPS-mil can be always spoofed and IFF must rely in it to transmit own location.

GNSS systems like GPS, even when it's encrypted, it can be always spoofed, i.e: give a fake position to receiver, even if the receiver is GPS-mil and all is encrypted.

Through replay attacks (transmit same GPS-mil signal from sats but adding a delay)

The location of GNSS is get through the differential of time elapsed to transmit a signal, you can encrypt the signal content, but you can't encrypt the differential of time, the data that it matters in a GNSS system.
