It is really important to have a Airforce, not random missiles with range off 2000km. This will not help you in a war against enemy with a strong airforce.

With this missile and the radar on the KE will be a deadly combo. Radar that can track and lock from 200km+ against fighters. Imagine the shape of future air to air fights.

Turkish FM requested Trump admirations to release F35 , remove sanctions.

Cihat Yaycı:

▪️TAYFUN's range is 1800, while the CENK missile's range is 3000 kilometers.

▪️Its warhead is smaller than TAYFUN's, but its speed is nearly twice as fast... 10 Mach!

▪️Moreover, CENK can be launched from land, sea, and submarines.

3000km is good, but not enough, Turkey should look to reach IRMB status soon.

Atleast 5000-5500km range to be a credible deterrent for anyone trying to carry out BS, and thinking they are too far from being hit.

Hypersonic Glide vehicle missiles like Dark Eagle.

If you’re not going to mount a nuclear warhead, there’s no point in developing a missile with such a long range

Oh there is absolutely a reason.

You don't think Ukraine wishes it had MRBMs and IRBM?

France is building IRBMs and the US just built conventional LRHW Dark Eagle. as well as LRCS https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conventional_Prompt_Strike

They are not just for Nuclear delivery, its to hit things that are hard to penetrate with the Air force or Navy, dude to strategic depth.

You should also note, that Missiles aren't usually fired at their full envelope. So a 5,500km missile isn't going to be fired at a 5,500km target. but usually a lot closer of a target, but with ample kinetic energy to maneuver if need be. Or to be fired from much deeper inland rather than at the upper most tip.

So Turkey/Iran/Saudi Arabia will all go to the route of nuclear ICBM to ensure not a single P5 nations will be safe, since North Korea was the first one to open that Pandora box.

When you're dealing with people who don't follow any norms, the end result is that you end up doing what North Korea does, right?

I didn't say ICBM, I said IRBM.

And Turkey as of now in not pursuing Nuclear Weapons.

Btw, When China acquired Nuclear weapons, was it doing that to threaten France? lol, silly logic.

Sure, some superpower has been constantly abusing its power, and nuclearization and proliferation of the ICBM are now deemed as inevitable.

The balance of terror might actually favor those mid-powers like Iran and Turkey.

The IRBM is to pave the road for the ICBM, and the ICBM is expensive to make, and you need to couple it with the nuclear warhead, not the conventional one.

Since the recent war happened in Iran, and Israel has spilled the beans that Turkey is the next target, and expect more mid-power nations to all embrace the nuclearization with the ICBM.
