The bombing of the school has greatly damaged America's own war narrative and united the Iranians. The bombing of the school was almost certainly a mistake and such things happen in war. Many instances are there including, if one is old enough, the bombing on the Chinese embassy in Belgrade in the late 90s.
But what is unforgivable is that, unlike in the past, this shitty American regime, instead of apologizing, put the blame on the victims! How low has America fallen now but that was to be expected with a Zionist President in bed with the most evil person Netanyahu. If there was justice in this world, both the Israeli and the Biden/Trump admins would be tried in something like the Nuremburg Trials. But we know the reality of this world.

Bombing of that school has majorly affected America's own cause in this war. There was no gain but only losses for the Americans. NY Times ran the school bombing story for several days and blamed Trump for that. Even some in MAGA bring up the school bombing.
You may benefit from a Trita Parsi video where he said so early in the war, the school bombing has united the Iranians against the invaders. That's counter to the American/Israeli goals.
