Kam Air is still freely flying in and out of Afg - what other movement is happening?
Why is the Afghan Airspace simply not "shut" by perhaps taking out an airliner or two on their ramp(even if its a maintenance or simply shelled frame) to send a message?

The Afghanis in their total imagination cannot still really come up with "loitering" munitions but they still managed to get these short ranged systems well into Pakistan that are running a rudimentary route (or maybe they were all imported in Pakistan because that is really the easier way).

Why arent - and I dont mean it from a political perspective - manpower that were available to quell protests and grab people in trucks doing the same enmasse to all known Afghanis? Who is preventing that? political will?

I think the drones were sent from inside Pakistan.

The bigger question is - where did they get the drones(these arent the battery powered toy kind) so who shipped them these? Who trained them on the ground?

Perhaps that miss is the greater question instead of who launched the drones and from where.

Due to these experiences, Pakistan will wait for some new homogeneous group, party to take over the country and deal with it accordingly.

There just isn't any need for Pakistan to spend so much time and energy in Afghanistan propping up a friendly Government just to be then backstabbed by that same Government.

Monarchy and socialist republic was also very anti Pakistan and people think taliban 1.0 was a Pakistani ally which is false. They were a pariah rogue state that still conducted terrorist plots on Pakistani soil and was working against Pakistani foreign policy. It was simply our leaders insistence on saving this sunk cost fallacy that we protrayed them as brothers. Truth is afghanistans existence is a threat to Pakistan and todays attack show us that even if we take out a lot of talibans conventional capability they will find new ways to conduct their terror operations. This corrosive nation must be systematically dismantled for Pakistans safety

In the current state KP is in, Islamabad is exposed.

Yes, its pretty easy to get to KP from Isb because its a left turn going up the hills, but the issue isnt solved by "ham idhar, tum udhar" typical myopia but by a combination of finding out Afghan and Afghan sympathizers and not picking up the random Pashtun just because you cannot see the issues created by past military operations and failed political cycles in the past.

And lol - Capital at Lahore - the same ones who were holding Javed Akhtar's feet as if it was the door to the Kaaba... Lahore is busy feeding itself and is best as the capital if you want Pakistani to capitulate within 2 days.

Islamabad was always a compromise as a site for a capital due to proximity to the overall Punjab biased communications lines and Ayub Khan's need to be closer to Pindi Garrison for his own safety and away from Karachi where Fatima Jinnah was always to be more popular.

It also offers "depth" of sorts from both sides of the border from some perspectives -
but if you want in ideal capital then think of Muzaffargarh as one option.

No - these drones are pretty rudimentary so assembled from guidance and instructions but otherwise material is available to Afghanistan and potentially even freely sold in Pakistan or imported from China.

I am suspicious these were not flown from Afghanistan. Instead brought into Pakistan by road and then flown from somewhere near Islamabad.

There should be some way of triangulation of the Drone controller signal transmitter.

im not too sure, because the caliber of this stuff is exactly that. "how to make long range rc plane" type stuff. I have an incomplete parts list of all ardupilot bits, plus, engine is a very readily available rc one etc
