Breaking: First F-47 Sixth-Gen Fighter Already Being Built, Expected to Fly in 2028

The compare and contrast of the two programmes is a fair point here, given that if follow your view, then there is "no where" to make that statement, be it here, or in the Chinese thread.
you are free to make an F-47 v Chinese 6 Gen thread. But since not much has been disclosed about either programs it will be an exercise in futility to engage in any comparison.

fair point but it's premature to compare capabilities or timelines.

Capabilities for sure, but timelines? Even more so when the first one is flying in multiple true prototypes aka no longer EMD aircraft since more than one year and the competitor will only fly in at best 2-3 years?

Dude, you shift goal post like crazy, lol, you were the one telling everyone with straight face "we are getting it in 2028, not prototype but actual airforce version" and yet here we are.

No, I said the first production representative F-47 will reach first flight in 2028. Just like the first B-21 was production representative. I never said it would be operational in 2028.

unless you know results of those test flights you can't assume linear progression to full operational deployment based on any historic trend. So, hard to say when it will occur. Besides, it isn't a race even if the Chinese get there first it will not alter the balance of power. Likely also the case if the US deploys a 6th Gen fighter first.

Okay so quite a reputable source has confirmed (actually it's been confirmed by various US sources like I said in my posts earlier on this thread) that the F-47 is going to be reaching service in a planned mid 2030s... if all goes well and according to gov planning.

Previously the sources only spoke about how the 2028 aimed date is for test flight of prototype. Project award has gone to Boeing last year. No prototypes, zero, have been made to date.

Mid 2030s service is an estimate (and the usual type that gets delayed again and again type of estimate) which is new information I guess but something we could have interpolated from the previous hints that 2028 is first flying prototype flight.

The logical conclusion is that 2019 flight was NOT a prototype and some scaled down empty concept demonstrator. Nothing comparable to prototype.

Now we go into the whole semantics debate for the cope-ers ie "production representative" will fly in 2028 (as aimed) despite the airforce version only being expected to get to USAF service in mid 2030s. This "production representative" is going to take close to a decade to get to service. Some "production representative" aka first prototype lol.

As I have posted earlier in this thread, this is 100% the course if all things go to plan and go well. No F-47 is reaching service at 2030, or even early 2030. If things go very well, maybe in mid 2030s. Good luck getting a prototype by 2028 to be honest. Given expected delays, prototype will be ready in 2030 and service reached in early 2040s. This prediction will be revealed by US to be true over the next decade.

Certainly looks like an NGAD prototype.

Hopefully not. The "kid" (F-22) at Habitual Linecrosser Channel in YT thinks canards are gay and I agree.

US aerospace advancements in the classified realm seems very active of late

Look like a j-20 knock-off to me, knowing the success rate of projects your run recently, you guys can save the efforts and directly just order J-20 export version from China instead since Xi is now the best friend of your president.

Certainly if it’s J-20 type, but my understanding is US aerospace companies have made significant advancements in aeroelastic surfaces.

This is definitely not F-47, but hopefully that unveiling will be the end of next year with first flight targeted for 2028.
