You guys jump up and down when an IAF officer says something positive about Tejas, but now we should ignore the negative?

Pretty sure my knowledge of Tejas is as good if not better then yours, been following the painful developments for 20 odd years now.

Oh dear. this is why just relying on Google makes you look ignorant. The Mirage 2000 upgrade and avionics were all developed in the 90s, India just decided to implement it very late.

The RDY radar in the upgrade is from 1996. That makes it almost 30 years old.

Give me a shout next time you want to be schooled publicly.

It achieved operational capability in 1999, ,
so not 30 years.
Pakistanis speak with too much audacity for someone whose Jf17 got AESA (that too shitty air-cooled) just 1 year back.

Easy sunshine, lets stick to the topic, not your obsession/fear of Pakistan/JF-17

Point being, 30 years or 25 years, the radar in the upgrade is old, just admit you were wrong, no harm in that, do not let ego get in the way of saving face.

The RDY-3 is basically an RDY-2 with better SAR capability, it's still a 25 year old radar, especially more pertinent when the rest of the world is moving to AESA.

The radar is practically obsolete

Max detection range is 50km, so unsure how this plane or the Mirage 2000 upgrade work in a combat environment when your enemy has SD-10/PL-15/AMRAAMs.

Again, you have been schooled, time to go home, the basic radar became operational in 1999. Can you do basic math?
